Your role in helping us shape the future:
You will lead a team of Program Managers that are responsible for end-to-end Program Management of technology driven programs from initial inception through release and launch. You are also responsible for Portfolio Management Process that governs all Commercial Aviation work intake, from ideation to realization.
The position requires experience managing a team, ability to drive large complex programs and comfort interacting with executives on a regular basis. Broad knowledge of IT Systems/Applications, Wireless Telecommunications, Avionics, and Satellite systems in addition to strong leadership, team building, and execution skills are required for success.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a world class team of Program Managers that supports the planning and delivery of large-scale business-critical technology programs.
  • Facilitate the Portfolio management process, working with all functions in the organization to define, prioritize and deliver work such that it aligns with organizational business objectives.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement and best in class risk management.
  • Continuously assess and mature the organizations' ability to deliver value at a highly predictable pace.
  • Collaborate harmoniously internally and with customers and partners to align priorities, drive accountability, and resolve blockers.
  • Ensure all program plans are up-to-date and complete with respect to schedule, cost estimations, risks, issues, and status.
  • Provide periodic updates to internal and external leadership.
  • Frame issues, leverage strategic priorities and drive team towards the best path forward.
  • Participate in negotiation of vendor contracts and request for proposals.
  • Ensure program compliance to all regulatory bodies globally.

You should definitely have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • At least 10 years' experience as Technical Program Manager
  • Experience building and managing a team, including recruiting and performance management.
  • An intense focus on building a culture of quality, stability, and innovation
  • Strong technical skills and t he desire to learn new technology and industry segments.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, quick tough data driven decision-making ability and exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for impacting top line and bottom line, delivering results, and managing and building relationships at all levels in the organization
  • Passion for learning and implementing state of the art technologies and processes to improve business efficiency
  • A willingness to take ownership of a situation and lead technical discussions with cross disciplinary teams with multiple priorities.
