Senior Manager, Reporting

Position:

You absolutely love data (unstructured and structured), testing hypotheses, and arriving at data-driven recommendations that have an immediate impact on the business. You are passionate about communicating insights as much as you are about discovering them in the first place. You constantly ask questions about how to use analytics to improve the business. You are eager to take on challenging problems like building a marketing mix model or finding the impact of multiplatform TV spend on average ROI.

Responsibilities

• Manage, guide and support a team of Tableau report developers and Tableau server administrators
• Deliver value to the Analytics team and broader business by creating engaging, informative, and insightful Tableau reports
• Build, support and optimize Tableau data sources using SQL, Tableau Prep builder and Python
• Maintain Tableau server with 400+ users and 1000+ workbooks
• Carefully curate official data sources and reports to ensure trust within the organization
• Create automated report distributions
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to build requirements for incremental data and reporting solutions to solve business challenges with data and reporting
• Work directly with data engineering to prioritize work on Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Lake
• Provide production support for critical data sources and dashboards
• Act as data steward for key business data; help keep tech teams accountable for adherence to data standards

  Requirements:

• Degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent
• 5 years in analytics, BI or reporting role
• 3 years using Tableau experience, including Tableau Server and Tableau Prep Builder
• 3 years managing a team
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL Queries
• Experience writing automation jobs in Python, PowerShell or other scripting language
• Expertise in gathering business requirements and devising reporting solutions
• Can lead meetings and communicate effectively to move projects forward
• Ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently without increasing technical debt
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and still keep sight of the big picture
• Ability to set big goals and be accountable – to “get stuff done”

Preferred:

• Excellent communicator
• Experience with writing optimal queries in Snowflake
• Experience in project management
