About You
The ideal candidate for the Senior Sales and Marketing Manager, Retail role at Nutrafol will have a strong background in beauty and a deep understanding of the retail landscape, with experience driving and tracking all marketing, sales, and media activations at a high-growth brand. This position requires strong organization and cross-functional skills, along with the ability to successfully and confidently manage multiple projects at one time. This candidate will plan strategically and excel at successfully partnering with internal teams to bring all key retail projects to life and will report to the Vice President of Retail.
Responsibilities:
Marketing:
- Oversee marketing management for key retail accountsÂ
- Push overarching sales and marketing plans to better support the Nutrafol business at retail, focusing on the right activations & leading projects with internal teams, while tracking and monitoring all deadlines
- Partner with internal teams (Brand Marketing, Creative/Visual Merchandising, Education, etc.) to ensure brand and product stories are brought to life within the retail environmentÂ
- Identify key areas of opportunity that drive traffic at retail, both in store and online, through paid media, social media, influencer, in store activations, sampling, etc.
- Track and analyze product launches and overall assortment performance, ensuring key insights and learnings are identified for future retailer strategies
- Work internally with cross-functional teams to develop retailer specific strategies for activations/opportunities, new product launches, core product support, brand video execution, etc.
- Maintain key account retail marketing calendars in partnership with the VP of Sales and share on a regular basis with cross-functional teams
- Assist with the development of all retail sales and marketing presentations
- Manage and develop Nutrafol retail sampling programs, including building and maintaining an annual sampling calendar, monitoring results/metrics, and providing regular feedback to ensure efficacy
Sales:
- Provide VP, Retail with weekly sales reporting and feedback in any areas that impact day to day business and/or achieving sales results (ie; sales and marketing side by side, key product performers, activation metrics)
- Provide weekly insight into sales productivity and significant impacts on sales goal achievementÂ
- Work closely with VP, Retail to assess the progress of retail performance and assist with ongoing sales strategies
- Effectively and clearly communicate with the field teams when requiredÂ
- Ensure that Regional Managers are aware of all promotional and new product launches are provided to the field in a timely mannerÂ
- Ensure Regional Managers have all existing and new educational documents, and are properly disseminating to the field
- Establish, develop and execute event collateral support, as and when needed
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a Sales and Marketing role in beauty. (Supplement and hair care experience are a plus)
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Docs expertise
- Open-sell retailer experience
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, adaptability and high degree of cross functional collaboration
- Strong retailer marketing knowledge, including ecommerce, social, and trade marketing
- Ability to manage complex and multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience partnering with marketing, e-commerce, and education to grow retail sales through strategic sampling, influencer and event opportunities
- Experience in managing departmental budgetsÂ
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel up to 30% of time and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Fully remote work experience, including a one-time allowance for home office setup
