We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to join the Octane Risk Governance team.  You will be leading and supporting the development of the Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) and a Risk & Control Matrix (RCM) programs to properly identify risks across the organization.  This includes risk and controls, control gaps, control design and control testing is built and implemented across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Octane’s testing program including testing modules, test scripts,  sample methodologies, reporting results and action plans
  • Partner closely with peers to understand the process risks and develop process control reporting requirements
  • Must be capable of determining the root cause of issues and develop effective remediation plans to mitigate the risks
  • Can act as a Project Manager for Compliance related initiatives tracking business decisions and ensuring outcomes to meet regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and Legal to design, implement, and support a regulatory compliant program
  • Work closely with the Servicing, Collections and Credit Ops teams to support Octane business processes, decisioning models and credit policies while ensuring compliance is properly embedded and monitored for completeness and accuracy
  • Provide risk & compliance advisory support on end-to-end processes
  • Troubleshoot the process control reporting environment, database and reports
  • Evaluate and fully understand current policies & procedures
  • Provide root cause analysis for control gaps and/or control weaknesses
  • Develop KRIs and KPIs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in Risk & Compliance (Fair Lending experience preferred) with background in compliance testing, audit or risk
  • Minimum 8+ years of direct data management and data controls testing and reporting experience.  Includes experience in the utilization of related technology tools 
  • Have tested technical controls in financial institutions associated with compliance, SOX, audit, operational risk or related functions
  • Experience in requirement gathering and analysis, working with stakeholders , workflows Business processing, Process Mapping and GAP analysis
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly and concisely to non-compliance individuals
  • Experience working with consumer financial laws and regulations including but not limited to ECOA, TCPA, FCRA, TILA, UDAAP, FDCPA, EFTA

Other Knowledge/Tools:

  • Strong technical skills with programs such as Excel and PowerPoint, SAS, EG, SSMS, SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of regulations governing financial institutions
  • Familiarity with risk measurement approaches including development of Key Risk Indicators and thresholds and associated reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Experience with a GRC tool (Orion, Archer, SAI360, etc.)
