Job summary

DigiCert is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Sales Compensation to lead the administration of our sales compensation program. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of compensation plans and commission payments while managing a team of two direct reports. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain and continuously improve our sales compensation processes. Notably, this position is not responsible for building and maintaining the sales compensation calculation model but is focused on its effective administration and execution. 

 

What you will do

  • Sales Compensation Design and Quota Setting: Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide input and support for sales compensation design and quota-setting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational feasibility. Note that the responsibility for actual quota setting lies with a Revenue Operations peer who oversees Territory and Quota management. 
  • Sales Compensation Administration: Oversee the issuance of compensation plans and ensure the accurate calculation and timely payment of commissions. 
  • Sales Performance Incentive Fund Programs: Lead the discovery, design, and costing of SPIFF programs, identifying opportunities to drive specific sales behaviors and outcomes, and ensure these programs are aligned with organizational goals and effectively communicated to the sales team. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and HR to address and resolve inquiries, perform analyses, and provide support related to all aspects of sales compensation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance sales compensation processes, leveraging technology and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy. 


What you will have

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales compensation administration 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in sales compensation software and tools; strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions proactively 
  • Collaboration: Proven experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
