Senior Manager, Salesforce Engineering

Team Description

Pendo is looking for a Salesforce Engineering Manager to join our Sales Systems team who is passionate about the people and technology powering Pendo. As an engineering manager, you will lead a team of Salesforce developers providing tooling and services to support the Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Product Ops and Legal teams at Pendo. You will enable the team to successfully deliver leading edge solutions to allow Pendo to scale.

Role Responsibilities 

• Serve as the technical leader and solution architect for Salesforce projects across Pendo
• Manage a team of 1 FTE (SFDC Developer), 5-6 consultants (SFDC Developers) and implementation partners responsible for ideation, design, delivery and maintenance of technical solutions to support Pendo’s Sales Systems team
• Partner closely with each individual on the team to define professional goals to ensure they have the resources, support and opportunity needed to advance in their career.
• Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platforms and products
• Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions. Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility and functionality
• Work alongside the team to define code review, design and implementation standards to ensure we build for efficiency, scale, compliance and maintainability.
• Review the existing systems landscape and provide guidance on optimization and automation.
• Ensure appropriate controls and documentation are followed to meet security and compliance requirements across all systems.
• Work cross functionally to help drive complex operational initiatives

Minimum Qualifications 

• 8+ years of CRM industry experience
• Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate business processes across disparate systems
• Experience managing remote teams
• Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
• Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
• Self-starter who seeks challenging assignments
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• 4-year degree preferred
