Location: Eastern Australia 

Compensation: $180,000-$200,000 AUD base plus bonus and equity

About the Role:

Huntress is looking for a Senior Manager to lead our quickly growing Security Operations Center team in Australia. This role is accountable for defining and streamlining processes, workflows, and playbooks that enable effective day-to-day operations. As Huntress grows, we are laser-focused on scaling our operations and force-multiplying our human analysts by 10X. This position enables the SOC to meet our mission and achieve internal Service Level Objectives for response times and quality goals. Ultimately, our goal is to make partners more secure and prevent the worst day of their careers.

The Huntress Security Operations Center is a global team of security analysts dedicated to investigating and responding to incidents on our partners’ networks 24/7, 365 days a year. Daily activities consist of providing investigation, containment, and response actions across millions of endpoints.

What You'll Do:

• Strategic Leadership: Partner with leaders across multiple organizational functions to identify work streams for the SOC team, ensuring alignment of technology and development strategies
• Mentor and help develop other managers within the organization
• Take a more active role in Global Operations vs being primarily region-focused
• Own, maintain, and contribute to global metrics programs
• Process Design and Implementation: Define, implement, and enforce internal processes to reduce toil and increase productivity. Streamline workflows and playbooks that enable effective day-to-day operations
• Shift Coverage Management: Oversee and enforce local and global shift coverage to ensure 24/7 operations are maintained, 365 days a year
• Team Development: Mentor and develop team members to achieve their career goals. Create an inclusive environment that welcomes all team members, ensuring adherence to company values
• Quality Assurance: Maintain accountability for routine quality assurance within the designated region, ensuring consistent global operations
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Support, Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders to prioritize new capabilities, streamline workflows, and provide technical leadership
• Training and Growth: Contribute to the development and implementation of analyst training programs designed to streamline onboarding and advance skill sets in Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Malware Analysis, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, and Automation
• Public Speaking and Advocacy: Participate in public speaking engagements, representing Huntress in both webinar and in-person formats

What You Bring To The Team:

• 3+ years Leading cybersecurity teams with diverse skills in areas such as Security Operations, Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Malware Analysis, Threat Hunting, or Detection Engineering
• Technical Expertise: 2+ years of Security Analyst experience in a global 24x7 security operations center, focusing on Windows forensics
• Community Engagement: Actively engaged in the information security community through conferences or public projects
• Continuous Learning: Up-to-date on the latest threat actor tradecraft, detection techniques, and security operations concepts
• Workflow Optimization: Ability to identify workflows and create detailed process diagrams and operating procedures
• Communication Skills: Effective communicator of highly technical concepts to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds
• Analytical Tools: Experience using platforms like Elasticsearch or Splunk for data analysis
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading initiatives or projects that required delegation and accountability
• Data-Driven Approach: Familiarity with Data Science concepts and Time-Series analysis for metrics and forecasting
