We are looking for a seasoned Senior Manager of SEM to lead our efforts in using data-driven strategies to grow our presence through effective search engine marketing.
As the Senior Manager of SEM, you will spearhead both the strategic and technical aspects of Zazzle’s search engine marketing efforts, focusing on acquisition and retention through Paid Search, Shopping, display, retargeting, and video channels. This role combines the strategic leadership responsibilities with the hands-on management and optimization duties, creating a dynamic position that directly impacts Zazzle’s growth and market presence.

What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEM and PPC strategies to drive traffic, increase brand visibility, and generate sales, with a strong emphasis on shopping and text ads.
- Lead a SEM team and manage relationships with partners to ensure alignment with business goals and performance standards.
- Work with a data engineering team to build and manage data pipelines from multiple information sources, utilize sophisticated audience segmentation for acquisition and retargeting, and understand the lifetime value of customer segments for investment.
- Oversee the execution of paid search, paid social, mobile app marketing, programmatic advertising, and OTT media, ensuring all channels are optimized to meet set KPIs.
- Continuously analyze campaign performance to optimize and refine marketing programs, leveraging insights to make data-driven decisions.
- Regularly engage with executive team members to report on campaign performance, share strategic insights, and align SEM strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making at the highest levels of the company.
What You Bring to Zazzle:
- 10+ years of experience in SEM, with significant expertise in PPC management, specifically Google Shopping and text ads.
- Deep understanding of different attribution models, feed management, and the technical aspects of website and analytics.
- Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills, with experience managing technical teams and agency/partner relationships.
- Exceptional analytical skills to derive insights from data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to think strategically while executing methodically.
- Previous experience working for marketplaces with large catalogs and dynamic margins preferred.
