Senior Manager, Service Delivery - Packet Install / Ethernet

The Senior Manager, Packet Install & Ethernet is a key leader of the Installation and Activation organization within Service Delivery. The candidate will provide direct supervision and guidance to the Packet Install teams. Candidate will also be responsible for ensuring all monthly revenue targets are reached by ensuring all customer services and core infrastructure is installed, and delivered on time.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct supervision to all Packet Install, Ethernet, Technicians.

• Set departmental goals and report on the progress of each one during quarterly Zchats.

• Maintain reports and dashboards for reporting daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly activities based on departmental objectives and projects.

• Work closely with the team leads to ensure all daily activities are complete each day.

• Work with the Project Management teams and install coordinator to accommodate the scheduling of all requested installs.

• Work closely with all project management teams for monthly order targets.

• Provide technical expertise to the install technicians for all Ethernet products offered by Packet Services.

• Ensure all standards are met for every installation.

• Must have a good understanding of all acquired networks.

• Attend project calls to provide feedback and delivery time lines for Packet Install.

• Establish and maintain effective communications and professional working relationships with customers and internal personnel.

•  Comply with departmental and corporate internal controls and processes.    

• Employ the highest ethical and business standards and always conduct themselves with the greatest degree of professional integrity.

• Assist in the accomplishment of company objectives by performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or other related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

• (or) 5+ years working in a service provider role supporting layer 2 networks.

• (or) JNCIE - Juniper Networks Certified Expert or equivalent

• (or) CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional or equivalent.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Must have experience with Juniper, Nokia, Cyan, Cisco, ADVA, and Ciena hardware.

• Proficient in Ethernet an IP Engineering for both core and customer deployments.

• Proven experience working with service provider networks in a technical capacity for metro Ethernet products.

• Working knowledge of Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) standards, especially as they relate to wireless backhaul applications.

• Demonstrated ability to create complex collaborative technical documents.

• Flexible schedule to support the management of after-hours maintenance requests.

• Must be able to adapt well to a constantly changing environment.

• Must have excellent organization skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Must be flexible in terms of hours worked and available 24x7.

• Some domestic travel will be required for this position.

Base pay range: $98,700 - $144,760 commensurate with experience.
