About the team
We’re looking for a creative, passionate, no-limits-minded Head of Social to create content for Klaviyo’s social media channels including Twitter and LinkedIn. You’ll strategize, develop, write and post content that drives marketing and customer-data culture, increases brand relevancy and encourages followers to take action. You’ll take the lead on driving and amplifying daily conversations around Klaviyo and leverage our owned content and product leadership to identify bigger opportunities and build relationships with super fans, like-minded partners, and eComm influencers. You’ll be a student of B2B SaaS culture, constantly identifying future trends with a bias for action to activate against ideas quickly. You’re the most public voice of Klaviyo and you’ll be the one making sure Klaviyo’s POV plays an outsized role in the daily social discourse. You’ll be energized by our fast-growing brand and data-driven culture with a desire to play a pivotal role on a team of fellow Klaviyo fanatics.Â
If you obsess over eComm culture, have a keen eye for detail, are a closet graphic designer, know who Nik Sharma and Chase Dimond are, love a good B2B meme and are a sharp writer who can meld Klaviyo’s brand voice with what the cool kids are saying, this is your role.Â
About the role  Â
- Own the planning, development, creation and implementation of all organic social content. You’re the one steering this ship!
- Challenge the status quo and aim to be a first-to-market brand when opportunities arise, and raise the bar with brand-first moments on our owned platforms
- Work with marketing leaders and/or external agency partners to execute a results-driven social media strategy first across Twitter and LinkedIn. Once those channels are humming, you’ll set the strategy for new and emerging channels.Â
- Grow our engagement and follower base on each platform. Build an invested audience, which will ultimately impact brand relevancy and awarenessÂ
- Support social influencer relations and activations with Influencer lead
- Have a deep understanding of Klaviyo’s customers, their challenges and opportunities, and develop uber-clever ideas for highly engaging social-focused content. Get kinda weird! Get nerdy! Get Klaviyo!Â
- Know our founders. Know their voices. Know what matters to them and be able to flag when they should get in the game and engage directly with threads about Klaviyo. Use their voices and their personalities to shape Klaviyo’s social personality. They are our company’s DNA and we want that DNA authentically reflected in how we engage on social.Â
- Manage production and editorial calendars to support planned and reactive content
- Create, execute and manage a social listening plan
- Create a social response guide
- Partner with the performance marketing team on paid social media initiatives when appropriate.
- Measure all metrics reporting wins and opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with trends and changes in platforms as well as new platforms; informs and makes decisions on where and how Klaviyo should grow its social presence.Â
- Build strong relationships with our audience across social platforms by responding to messages, comments, and inquiries
What we’re looking for   Â
- Directly responsible for ramping up brand accounts to 6 figures in followers
- Can develop and manage to a budget and accurately track performance of social media activities and return on investment
- Interested in the business and eComm space with a pulse on the trending topics that matter to growing businesses, marketers, and entrepreneurs.Â
- Great brainstormer capable of generating big ideas
- Adaptable, can-do spirit that defaults to optimism
- Resourceful and able to take direction well
- Ability to move fast and balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in video & photo editing tools, digital media formats, graphic design, and copywriting.Â
- Strong communicator and collaborator, and can partner with the rest of our marketing team to deliver great social contentÂ
- Ability to thrive working in fast-paced, fluid and challenging environments
- 5-7+ years experience in social media, marketing or creative role with experience using platforms like Sprout Social
