Join our team at the world's leading local delivery platform as the Senior Manager of Engineering, Ad-Tech Platform Services (welcoming candidates of all genders) to lead one of our most impactful teams.

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering to join our Ad-Tech tribe and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge platform that supports our partners, including restaurants and local shops, in scaling their businesses. This role is pivotal in managing hundreds of millions of euros in advertising revenue, with a focus on empowering our partners to attract new customers.

Your Mission:

• Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to define the global roadmap for the team in the short and long term.

• Develop the Ad-Tech engineering strategy and implement it across our global organization.

• Lead, support, and mentor engineering managers to enhance their leadership skills.

• Contribute to the development of a next-generation advertising platform with real-time bidding, personalization, and high concurrency, serving over 70 countries and brands with round-the-clock customer orders.

• Plan for scalability, fault tolerance, and reliability of the systems under your purview and streamline processes.

• Uphold the highest standards of quality and fairness in team performance management.

• Integrate best practices in data compliance, PII data protection, and security into our infrastructure, tools, products, processes, and organizational culture.

• Expand our recruitment efforts and establish criteria for identifying talented candidates.

• Drive both quarterly and long-term objectives and key results (OKRs) with full accountability for their execution.

• Advocate for best engineering practices, guiding where engineering efforts should be focused for maximum impact.

Your Heroic skills:

• Around 5 years of leadership experience in managing engineering teams focused on Ad-Tech platforms.

• 10 total years of experience with a strong emphasis on modern web applications and cloud services, particularly in large-scale distributed microservice systems.

• Proficiency in at least 50% of the following technologies: Python, Golang, Java, Javascript, Typescript, Postgres, SQL/NoSQL, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Kafka, REST, gRPC, GraphQL, AWS, GCP, Datadog.

• Experience in overseeing managers and multiple teams concurrently.

• Effective collaboration with product management and other departments to develop new products and features that align with business requirements using modern engineering principles.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a clear business focus.

• Background in engineering, technical knowledge, and the ability to assess complex technical decisions.

• Experience managing high-complexity or high-traffic projects or applications and building large distributed systems.

• Proficiency in coaching, mentoring, and setting up individuals for success.
