About this Role

Reporting to the Director, Source, the Senior Manager, Source will work closely with the Director, Source to support Source Commercial success (sales, strategy, operations, and management), define repeatable sales roadmaps, and develop and convert a pipeline of Source opportunities that ultimately drive demand for Indigo’s Source offering in line with the company’s transaction, sales, and gross margin targets. This person will also collaborate with leadership as well as key internal and external stakeholders to refine and execute Source’s commercial strategy as Indigo grows its sustainability offerings, with a focus on Food, Feed, Fuel, and Fiber.

What You'll Do

  • Help define and execute on Source offering and GTM strategy
  • Serve as a thought partner in developing strategy to drive Source sales across Food, Feed, and Fuel.
  • Maintain close alignment with senior leaders in Source, North America Commercial, Product, Operations and Quantification Management teams.
  • Articulate functional strategy to other teams and stakeholders; work to ensure operational effectiveness across stakeholder groups.
  • Identify ways to strengthen and expand existing strategies and create new efficiencies.

  • Serve as key point of contact for Source opportunities
  • Develop and convert sales pipeline of Source opportunities.
  • Articulate Indigo’s Source capabilities and value proposition to a wide external audience, including Chief Sustainability Officers, program directors, etc.
  • Responsible for the creation of customer business plans and generating customer profiles.
  • Own relationships with customer, including day-to-day business activity and strategy execution.
  • Manage and track progress against planned KPIs and backlog development, establish process for reporting and visibility, along with regular risk review.

  • Take full accountability and ownership of key deliverables
  • Generate Source sales opportunities according to established AOP targets.
  • Document Source supply and demand process.
  • Help integrate Biological Products, Carbon and Merchandise with Source to achieve a single sustainability vision.
  • Develop Source account business plans for prospective and current customers.
  • Build Source supply and demand Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP).
  • Lead and/or contribute to Periodic Business Reviews with customers.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records.

A Day in the Life

  • 40%: Preparing and executing sales with prospective customers
  • 30%: Refine and improve program design and GTM strategy
  • 15%: Program execution support through active communication with Operations, Product and Science teams
  • 15%: Internal alignment with commercial teams identifying opportunities to sell the One Indigo platform

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of professional experience in business operations with sales, consulting, or high-growth startup background.
  • Experience in agriculture strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability and demonstrated track record to set and achieve or exceed ambitious goals.
  • Eagerness to tackle complex challenges head on and leverage problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and/or stakeholders.
  • Understand the importance of a customer-centric mindset and have a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences that drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Comfortable having a presence “in-market,” attend tradeshows, conferences, and all types of ag industry events to develop network.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Additional Consideration for Candidates with

  • Sharp Microsoft Office skills are a must (PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience working in sustainability policy, specifically Scope 3.

How We Will Take Care of You

  • Base salary of $120,000 - $140,000 annually 
  • Equity options & annual cash incentives 
  • Generous paid time off, including 15 days of accrued PTO per year, 5 sick days, 5 floating holidays, and 12 annual company holidays as well as one week between Christmas and New Year’s for a company-wide annual break, parental leave, and bereavement leave.

Pay Transparency Statement

Indigo is committed to competitive and equitable pay for all employees. The listed pay range for this role is a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. Compensation offered will be determined based on several factors including an individual’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

 

Benefits Statement 

All regular, full-time, permanent employees who work 30 hours or more each week are eligible to enroll in Indigo’s benefits. Additionally, all full-time employees and some part-time employees are eligible for paid time off as outlined above. Based on their role, employees may also be eligible to receive long-term equity incentives and annual cash incentives.
