Providence is calling a Senior Manager Special Events & Strategic Partnerships who will:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders across Providence Health Plan to produce and manage executive-facing events and strategic partnerships that advance Providence Health Plan's mission and organizational goals
  • Showcase our thought leadership
  • Demonstrate our commitment to the communities that we serve
  • Be responsible for the strategy, design, and implementation of all activities related to events, sponsorships and community engagement opportunities, including logistics, operations, and financial management

We welcome 100% remote work for residents who live in the State of Oregon and the city of Vancouver, Washington.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with the Director of Executive Engagement and the Office of the CEO in developing strategic plans related to executive-facing events, strategic partnerships and community engagement opportunities
  • Oversees all event logistics and project management, including partner and vendor relationship management, materials development, executive preparation and on-site coordination
  • Prepares event briefing materials, including executive overviews, run-of-show documents, project plans and post-event reports
  • Partners with Communications team on messaging and creation of event materials including invitations, email communications and promotional content for website and social channels
  • Ensures collaboration across all functional areas within Providence Health Plan to maximize how we show up at events and ensure we leverage all appropriate opportunities to build relationships, showcase thought leadership and enhance visibility in the market
  • Builds relationships and maintains a strong network of professional contacts with vendors, partners, and other institutions, associations and organizations as appropriate
  • Develops event evaluation criteria and measures effectiveness of events and strategic partnerships
  • Makes recommendations for future events to ensure alignment with health plan's mission and organization goals
  • Works with Director and Office of the CEO to develop and roll out event best practices for the health plan
  • Maintains expertise by keeping a pulse on industry trends that can be incorporated into events and enhance overall stakeholder experience

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 years related work experience
  • 5 years progressive and proven experience designing and implementing a wide range of events and managing strategic partnerships

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 10+ relevant work experience
  • 2 years Healthcare or health plan experience
  • Knowledge of Oregon, Washington, and California market a plus
  • Experience with planning for trade shows and large scale conferences a plus

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
