Senior Manager, SRE Data Operations

Position 

LendingTree is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Operations for our Enterprise Data Management Organization. This person will be tasked with establishing a robust Data Operations operating model to include Incident and Change Management, Database Administration and establish an Observability framework.  Additionally, the leader will proactively work to attract/train and grow talent across the data operations team with admin and SRE experts who will be the ‘go to’ resources for the data organization. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate the prioritization and refinement of the product backlog, deciding what to build and when, partnering with business and technical teams to estimate features, define requirements and collaborate on a product roadmap based on the team’s capacity.
• Experience developing SRE/DATAOPS operating model that incorporates automation for change and incident management activities.
• Champion database administration, data governance, data quality and security best practices.
• Ability to lead the analysis of complex problems, root cause and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Provide strategies to team for new and existing solutions for operational efficiency using automation tools and technology that enhance productivity and reduced costs.
• Oversee platform cost reporting, capacity management and performance tuning optimizations.
• Oversee day-to-day production operations, escalations, ticketing, and communication internally and externally.
• Create, manage, and integrate process, timelines for the operational support and deployment of all significant deliverables based on resources, dependencies, and requirements
• Foster cross functional team collaboration to ensure engineered solutions meet the criteria for availability, performance, resiliency, security, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee training, and development of teams and resources who are considered SMEs within their capacity for Data Operations team
• Champion an inclusive and diverse global mindset to attract diverse talent pool to LendingTree which includes effective coaching and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in a SRE/Data Management/Analytics/Platform Engineering
• Experience with Modern data platforms e.g. DBT, Fivetran, Snowflake and Airflow
• Experience Administration and Supporting data platforms using Data stack (Confluent Kafka, Apache Kafka, Spark, ETL/ELT) on AWS
• Experience with Administration and Support of relational and Cloud data platforms such as (Snowflake, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Dynamo, Mongodb Atlas, Redshift, MSSQL)
• Experience with Cloud Data and ML tools such as AWS (Sagemaker, EMR, S3, Glue, Managed Airflow)
• Experience with leading Data Governance tools and processes, such as Collibra and Alation
• Experience in building SRE practice and driving SLI/SLO driven product backlog
• Experience in establishing GitOps practices to facilitate shift-left mind set.
• Strong Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies such as (Datadog, New Relic, Sumologic, Grafana)
• S. in Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields
