What You’ll Do
In the Technology Enabling Development (TED) group, our core development focus is the host interface firmware layer that sits in the intersection of system software and flash management firmware. This key host interface firmware technology drives Samsung’s breakthrough V-NAND technology and enables our customers to power performance-oriented, demanding, enterprise-class applications ranging from hyper-scale data centers, to big data processing, to software defined virtualized storage arrays and infrastructures.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated SW Manager to lead and manage development, deployment and operations of our SSD Test Automation Platform. This is a mission critical system that is deployed across multiple stages and teams of SSD development.
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time the remainder of your time.

- Manage a team of several SW engineers in design, development and support of test automation platform.
- Lead development effort to ensure creation of reusable services and codes to enable platform scalability.
- Subject matter expert on areas of database design, distributed system development, micro services and integration.
- Lead development effort in designing front-end and back-end web architecture, create distributed server components, data modeling and database, restful api and interfaces, and library/framework applications.
- Manage team activities and JIRA tracking.
- Work cross-functional teams both domestically and internationally for test automation platform feature development and problem resolution.Â
- Support your team, empowering their achievements, facilitating self-management, developing growth opportunities, and proactively planning for the future.Â
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring
- BS in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science, and 15+ years of SW development or a MS in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science with 13+ years of SW development experience preferred.Â
- Extensive experience in development and support of enterprise mission critical applications in a large enterprise environment.
- A creative thinker and excellent knowledge of web/distributed development disciplines.
- Extensive development experience using one or more in the following areas: Python, Django, Golang, Java Script,
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams both domestically and internationally.
- Good communication and presentation skill, able to offer guidance and support.
- You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.Â
