POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, Strategic HR Initiatives role is responsible for developing and managing a consistent approach and framework that will help operationalize Republic's human capital strategy throughout its lifecycle. The Senior Manager, Strategic HR Initiatives is an enabler, leader, and plays a central role in the prioritization, resourcing, and execution of the function's highest-impact strategies and initiatives.

As an enabler, the Senior Manager, Strategic HR Initiatives leads the activities that help the function identify, assess, and execute critical initiatives while providing transparency into the progress and success of in-flight programs and projects. Additionally, this role helps the broader leadership team capture and manage risks, resource allocation, and capacity constraints across current and future initiatives. As a leader, this role continuously innovates, defines best practices/trends, and helps identify opportunities for more efficient and effective outcomes with a bias towards operational excellence, automation, and best-in-class employee experience.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and manage the approach, framework, and operational routines that enable the prioritization and execution of critical HR initiatives; develop process metrics and reporting to ensure transparency of the process
  • Lead a small team in supporting the planning and execution of cross-functional projects supporting the road to a best-in-class HR organization
  • Support HR Operations mergers & acquisitions project management
  • Develop and manage an overarching backlog, roadmap, and reporting routines that enable the oversight of current and future strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership within HR to help manage budget allocation, resource intensity, and capacity management in day-to-day support of the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the coordination efforts across in-flight initiatives to ensure delivery of projected outcomes, interdependency deconfliction, and change management impacts.
  • Support annual business planning activities through business case development, impact assessments, and financial modeling for cost-benefit analysis.
  • Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations for process improvement, risk mitigation, and efficiency gains


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A strategic thinker, inspiring leader, effective influencer, and team player. Skilled at partnering with key leaders at all levels and in balancing the role as a liaison between HR Operations and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience translating strategic decisions into business cases and financial/economic models that enable the business to evaluate impact of strategic choices
  • Structured and strategic mindset; ability to break down complex problems and deliver concise insights & recommendations to key stakeholders
  • High analytical acumen with a track record of leading data-driven approaches to create "best practice" solutions.
  • Track record as an innovative thought leader; providing creative ideas and solutions to a wide range of highly complex problems. Experience with leading HR transformation efforts a plus.
  • Strong operational excellence and continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent project management skills and experience with direct experience in agile ways of working; proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
  • Ability to drive change and a bias towards action and results. Comfortable working in fast paced, ambiguous environment with limited direction
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal); can succinctly communicate at all levels of the organization.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in relevant industries/roles including finance, management consulting, program management, strategic planning, and/or operational/organizational excellence.
