THE POSITION:

The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships, is responsible for working with the Head of Sales to develop targeted lists based on market research and then to build pipelines for future sales in strategic markets with high growth opportunities and high-value sales potential. Discovering new opportunities and cultivating strong relationships in our markets are crucial in this position.

This role works closely with the marketing team to implement and execute Target-Account-Based Marketing (TABM) to optimize engagement within specific accounts.

Our strategic partnerships team ensures that our sales efforts, especially in new and developing markets, are strategic, well-executed, and well-supported. This team is part of the sales organization, and this position has a commission composed of the compensation package to incentivize outstanding performance.

This role will work with the sales and business development team to identify targets, develop and execute target account selling strategies, and ensure that existing targeted accounts are engaged and active in the Cosm ecosystem. More specifically, you’ll get to:

  • Identify new opportunities and educate the sales team and business development team on new and existing market landscapes
  • Build strong relationships with our strategic partners and potential customers to aid in the sales process
  • Develop growth strategies with the sales & business development team to optimize engagement within high-value targeted accounts
  • Work with sales & sales ops to perform in-depth research to identify opportunities to uncover and execute sales opportunities
  • Work with the Head of Sales, business development, and the sales team to achieve team sales goals
  • Work with marketing to Identify the most effective marketing materials, outreach, channels, and messaging for key accounts

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify Target Accounts

  • The Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships works with the Head of Sales, other sales associates, & sales ops to perform research, identify high-value accounts to target, and spend time developing growth strategies from their findings. They will align with marketing to ensure that marketing efforts align with strategies developed and ultimately execute campaigns and efforts in consort with the marketing team to drive sales.

Importance of Account Relationships

  • By helping the sales and business development teams to build trusting relationships within target accounts, the goal in this position is to expand business by retaining valued customers longer and maximizing the identified opportunities, as well as garnering trust and positive rapport with customers.

Pipeline Development and Management

  • Working with the Head of Sales and the Strategic Partnerships Manager to conduct research, identify accounts, and then build a robust pipeline is paramount. Another key component in this role is formulating and executing a strategic plan based on the prospects in the pipeline to help reach team sales goals.

Augment Sales and Business Development Efforts

  • This role acts as an accelerator for sales and business development efforts in key accounts. From working directly with customers to performing key market and client research, the Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships is very involved with every step of the sales process.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate’s experience, expertise, and characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Seeking 3-5 years of experience in target account sales, strategic partnerships, or other sales-driven support
  • Start-up DNA: Willing to roll up sleeves, do foundational work, and test new approaches. Able to prioritize deftly. Comfortable with ambiguity – unhindered by change and uncertainty and can methodically work through complex problems.
  • Eager to collaborate with leadership to solve tough problems
  • Passion for a targeted and strategic approach to sales
  • Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
