About the Role
The Senior Manager, Business Development & Public Relations is responsible for building brand partnerships and influencer relationships programs, as well as managing our public relations agency and its strategy. This role is a key player on the Marketing team to attract new guests, build brand affinity, and bring brand positioning to life through new channels.
A Day in the Life
- Develop and execute short-term comprehensive partnership strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives. Continuously assess market trends and competitive landscape to identify partnership opportunities.
- Partner with leadership to inform and support the development of long-term partnership and influencer strategies.
- Identify potential partners, both within and outside the industry, and conduct thorough due diligence to assess their suitability for collaboration. This may include conducting market research and competitive analysis.
- Negotiate with potential partners to secure mutually beneficial agreements and partner with legal colleagues to execute them.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new partners. Ensure that partnerships deliver value and meet agreed-upon KPIs. Address any challenges - or growth opportunities - that may arise during the partnership.
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including local marketing, product development, CRM, digital, and operations to ensure seamless ideation and execution of partnership initiatives; provide necessary support and information to facilitate successful partnership implementation.
- Oversee budgets, ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and projects remain within targets.
- Manage Public Relations agency and lead public relations efforts for national and local franchise initiatives, generate publicity and awareness for the brand, including the services and products we sell.
- Manage key press releases and manage approvals and edits internally.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders such as investor relations for quarterly earnings releases and internal communications for executive communications to ensure coordination and consistent messaging.
- Source and lead influencer relationships alongside social media agency. Innovate on influencer campaigns and lead in emerging channels for additional brand awareness and brand love adoption.
- Work cross-functionally to drive brand awareness and gain brand exposure from projects, programs and initiatives throughout the business, brand and media KPI's.
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of programs and analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results. Make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public relations, communications or related field, or equivalent knowledge required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in a corporate setting. Relevant experience could include business development, partnerships, marketing, public relations, and or sales.
- Experience in beauty, retail, or lifestyle brands preferred.
