The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing - ARC is responsible to develop, implement and lead the sourcing strategy and operating plan for our PCS Anesthesia and Respiratory Care business. Scope of the job; $170M spend, ~260 suppliers worldwide through a team of ~9 Product sourcing leaders based in USA & Asia. This role reports strong line to the Executive - Strategic Sourcing leader, dotted line to the PCS ARC business leader, and fully integrated into the Segment business leadership team, per our Strategic Business unit principles.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • De-risk supplier base proactively, from identifying the risk to executing the mitigation plan, in partnership with the PCS ARC business team.
  • Identify, assess, and select strategic suppliers for any NPI or Supplier Transfers and get suppliers ready to deliver targeted business requirements (Quality, Fulfillment, Cost and Cash) per the program milestones, in partnership with the Supplier management, Supply chain and Engineering teams.
  • Drive product costs down by 10%+ year over year through supplier negotiation and design change ideas, partnering with engineering/manufacturing, with a total cost mindset. Support logistic cost out initiative.
  • Lead suppliers through strategic partnership, establishing a win-win relationship, negotiating long term supplier agreements, and driving supplier performance up through the installed base & its product lifecycle, including leading Supplier LTBs & claims with a proactive approach.
  • Support Supplier Quality, ensuring supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation and other regulatory and reputation requirements and support supplier & parts quality initiatives.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Be responsible for and champion safe work practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain and with a minimum of 3 years of supervisor experience
  • Excellent business/financial acumen, ability to act as business partner through horizontal teaming, with the ability to motivate, influence and drive change in a collaborative way.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills delivering results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain Management
  • Experience as leader in an international environment.
  • Experience in a high regulated industry (Healthcare, Pharma, etc.)
  • Experience on Lean implementation and execution
