Guild is hiring for a Senior Manager, Student Operations to oversee a Student Operations team in the daily execution of their jobs as well as partnering with cross-functional colleagues to drive continuous improvement to Student Experience Key Outcomes, including student satisfaction and student outcomes.

As the Senior Manager, Student Operations, you will:

  • Oversee, lead and hold a team of Managers, who oversee a team of Associate Managers, accountable to day to day metrics and quarterly OKRs
  • Indirectly manage a growing department of 70+ Specialists
  • Create equity and consistency across all team’s performance metrics and standards
  • Build and report out on 6+ month OKRs that are aligned with overall annual Student Experience goals
  • Understand the unique and complex processes of multiple functions within the Student Operations department
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross functional partners like Operations Strategy, Business Insights and Training to prioritize/de-prioritize the needs of the team 
  • Understand and identify down funnel implications, risks associated for decisions being made, and communicate tradeoffs that would impact the team
  • Maintain a culture of dedication while balancing empathy and equity for team members

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

Required Competencies

  • 2-4 years of experience managing managers
  • Use data to drive business decisions
  • Experience building 6+ month OKR/KPI’s
  • Build positive relationships cross-functionally; including other Student Experience teams, Enablement, and Product
  • Ability to communicate both the ‘what’ and ‘how’ elements of change
  • Delegate work to the right level of owners 
  • Build and grow a healthy team culture
  • Have a keen eye for strategy, risk and understand the implications of decisions 

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience managing managers in high volume call centers
  • Experience in integrating a new product with existing systems

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $100,000-130,000, as well as company stock options.
