The Senior Business Operations Manager leads the Supply Chain and Procurement function, scaling to support future Company growth, ensuring the processes are in place to support the seamless flow of materials, finished goods and services to support the organization.  This position will lead functional strategic initiatives to drive efficiency, realize cost savings and deliver operational excellence, while also partnering with cross-functional partners to deliver company strategic initiatives.  This is a Hybrid role working onsite in Danville CA Tuesdays - Thursdays and remotely Mondays and Fridays.


Responsibilities:


  • Translate the long-range business forecast into a multi-year procurement strategy and ensure vendor base has ability and capacity to scale with our company’s growth.
  • Manage entire production timeline from PO creation to product delivery. Ensure purchase orders and manufacturing schedules are prepared and kept in line for timely launch of new products, support marketing initiatives and re-orders of existing products and merchandise.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including contract negotiation, onboarding, performance management to supply chain management and disruption troubleshooting; looking for win-win opportunities to strength vendor relationships and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitate and analyze vendor performances via monthly/quarterly/annual business reviews.
  • Lead Supply Chain and Procurement key performance metrics, reporting out regularly to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
  • Collaborate with demand planning and production teams to optimize inventory turnover and alignment with demand forecasts.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance overall supply chain operations.
  • Champion, and implement continuous improvement opportunities in Procurement’s processes, procedures and systems, with an eye for cost-savings programs like volume-based discounts, better payment terms, lead time improvements etc.
  • Oversee distribution activities with our main 3PL partner; review and validate distribution expenses and other distribution KPIs.
  • Monitor geopolitical, economic, labor and environmental factors that could impact the supply chain.
  • Understand and document internal and external (supplier) SOPs and planning, purchasing, error handling (stockouts etc) and manufacturing workflows and processes in order to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Uphold ethical sourcing practices and sustainable procurement initiatives.
  • Actively share out progress on initiatives and proactively communicate supply issues and risk mitigation plans in daily, weekly, and or monthly updates.
  • Research opportunities and provide ongoing review of business operations process and systems, with strong focus on implementing greater operational automation and efficiency.


Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
  • Consumer packaged goods experience.
  • Self-directed and self-confident with great initiative and sense of ownership. Ability to persuade, lead and motivate others is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize the complex - able to take multiple, complicated, disparate inputs and transform it into simple, clear, succinct actions and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - flexibility, proactiveness, teamwork, and ability to effectively communicate with all levels and work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Flexible and adaptive attitude to changing business needs; ability to shift priorities comfortably.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are advantageous.


Compensation: $85-100k annually plus bonus and full benefits
