About The Role:

Experienced result-oriented professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Supply Chain Data Management. Responsible for making significant improvements to supply chain data management processes and systems (not limited to but immediate focus on supplier and parts domain).

Implement Data Strategy in Carrier Supply Chain

• Lead data evolution in supply chain with internal and external best practices
• Manage diverse stakeholder's data needs within SC to solve business problems
• Identify gaps, manage backlog, continuous improvement
• Drive synergy and efficiency in everything

Standardization & Digitalization in Collaboration with Stakeholders

• Define scope, key hierarchy levels & attributes of data domains utilizing stakeholder input, current data landscape and gap analysis to achieve SC goals
• Define standard values and processes for master hierarchy levels and attributes
• Digital implementation of vendor lifecycle management process around platform
• Digital implementation of vendor data governance process around platform

Data Platform Implementation

• Content: Deploy advanced data manipulation techniques to clean up current data sources following standard rules/processes and build taxonomy
• Platform Selection: Develop functional specifications of SC requirements; Support team leader to conduct benchmarking and secure best-in-class tools;
• Rapid deployment: Technical lead and/or project owner to implement classification algorithm and Mastering
• Sustain, Own and Improve: Own post implementation, drive usage; train SC users; maintain/support tool; liaison with business and tool to improve;

Leadership

• SC Stakeholders: Be the voice of reason and evangelist of "One Source of Truth"
• Digital Partnership: Manage digital partnership associated with data platforms, identify synergy, represent voice of SC;
• External/Industry : Continuous improvement with external and industry best practices

Skills for Data Strategy Lead

• Experience managing large end-to-end data projects in supply chain domain or similar domains
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• A successful history of manipulating and processing large connected and disconnected datasets to bring analytics readiness to the data
• Build and implemented processes and tools supporting data transformation, standardization, algorithmic classification, and mastering
• Strong analytical skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets.

• Built tools for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Cloud technologies following Carrier's data privacy and regulatory compliance guidelines

• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++ etc.
• Experience with building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets with AWS and Snowflake.

• Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
  • 10+ years of total experience in data management, data analytics, insights, or a similar field
  • Experience to dive into large volume of structured and unstructured data
  • Experience to clean and harmonize ungoverned data utilizing algorithmic approach e.g., natural language processing and text analytics techniques
  • Experience to use data platform to connect disparate data sources utilizing known techniques of regression, clustering methodologies and
  • Experience to classify and segment data to develop insights and build hypothesis;
  • Experience with data visualization using tools e.g. PowerBI, Tabelau or Qlikview
  • Experience to work cross functionally across stake holders and matrixed teams
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of total experience in data management, data analytics, insights, or a similar field
  • 3-5 years of experience with data mastering and building golden records
  • Experience in consensus building, influencing, facilitation and negotiation
  • Experience with delivery of data discovery and analytics solutions to non-technical audience
  • Experience to deliver business results utilizing data-centric strategy
