About the team
Talent Management is a small but mighty, and growing team that is part of the larger Learning & Talent Development function. We have a vision to help every Klaviyo build, scale, and shape their careers and impact with us. Our reach spans from the newest of new hires joining the organization to the most senior of leaders. Our aim is to help provide remarkable career experiences anchored in growth and development opportunities that drive meaningful impact for a business brimming with individuals with relentless curiosity, and an “always learning” mindset.
About the role
You are a passionate talent management subject matter expert, and seasoned talent management leader ready to continue building out offerings for the entire organization. That said, evolving and scaling our approach to performance reviews will be a priority out of the gate. You will evolve and scale our approach to succession planning, talent reviews, goal setting, individual development planning, and employee engagement. And you will lead a team to scale additional curated and created programs for employees of Klaviyo, to help accomplish it all.
How’ll you’ll have an impact
The part about talent management? We have the privilege of interacting with every single person across the organization. Do you thrive with scaling programs? We are only 1% done in the talent management space and you will have the exciting opportunity to help us build and scale the rest. You’ll bring a fresh perspective on how to shake up our approach to performance and engagement, and be a change agent to lead the execution on it all. You’ll play with our tech stack, learn its depth and scope, and leverage that same technology to help it all scale. You’ll partner with the HRBP team to bring the execution of our critical programs such as goal setting, continuous feedback, performance assessment, and employee engagement surveys to life. And you’ll partner with internal stakeholders across the organization to continually evolve these same programs to meet the changing needs of the business. Force multiplier is your middle name as your team helps ensure Klaviyo is the best place for ambitious people to learn and grow.
What we’re looking for
- 8+ years of experience in the talent management / people field (bonus points for fast-paced organizations).
- At least 4 years of leadership experience. Developing your team is just as important as developing every single employee.
- A strong desire to leapfrog best practice. You are so deeply passionate about Talent Management and want to put Klaviyo on the map as THE place to learn, grow, and develop.
- You have experience as a user and/or administrator of an HCM system (Workday preferred.)
- You have partnered with L&D and HRBP teams to design and implement talent management initiatives and programs that address the organization’s skill gaps, enhance employee capabilities, and promote employee growth and career development.
- You have developed and implemented Talent Review and Succession Planning frameworks to identify and develop high-potential employees and leaders for key roles and increase leadership bench strength and capability across all levels of the organization
- You are a guru with all facets of talent management program design–deeply steeped in needs analysis, program development, change and program management–and you can coach others on those very same skills.
- You’re a strong team player and have a track record of building and maintaining relationships across multiple stakeholders.
Nice to haves
- Experience in a hybrid work environment.
- Talent Management program design incorporating newer technologies.
- The ability to laugh at least three times a day. We work hard, but have fun doing it!
