The Team You’ll Work With

You will be part of the Marketing, Channel, Policy, and Growth Product organization. This team is the tip of the spear for new revenue generation and growing Carta’s brand presence. We have teammates across the country who love spreading the word about Carta, democratizing equity ownership, and increasing access to financial education. Members of our team have created and sold TV shows in Hollywood, been on the floor of Congress during the financial crisis, written political speeches heard by thousands, and led the rebrand of Carta from eShares.

The Problems You’ll Solve

The website is the front door to our entire business and is responsible for a major chunk of our business’ accelerating growth and revenue. We’re building a best-in-class web team to build a best-in-class marketing site and digital experience for our users.

As the Senior Manager of Web Strategy & Production, here are some of the problems you’ll solve:

  • Reporting to a Head of Web Presence, you will contribute to the overall web strategy to match the needs of a high growth company.
  • You will collaborate with marketing and cross-functional leadership to establish a longer term digital experience strategy and roadmap.
  • You will implement foundational workflows and processes to create visibility for the team and leadership to ensure executional excellence.
  • You will help Carta bring our newest products to market, launch integrated marketing campaigns, and be a trusted collaborator to all other marketing functions to create a seamless user journey.
  • You will foster cross-functional relationships with teams such as demand generation, product marketing, editorial, brand, events, and comms.
  • You will scale and manage website analytics (i.e. understanding performance of our site and identifying opportunities to make enhancements, making executive level reporting, and sharing the success of the website).
  • You will manage a web strategist and collaborate with web dev lead and our SEO lead while identifying resourcing gaps to accomplish the goals.
  • You will partner closely with the design team to strategize both short and long term roadmaps.
The Impact You’ll Have

The website is one of our most important levers for marketing – your contribution is needed on both day-to-day operation excellence as well as longer term optimization. You will be able to coach and develop the web team, while simultaneously being able to build out a roadmap to set a clear north star.

About You

You are deeply passionate about building a best in class web presence team from foundational processes to a multi-year roadmap. You bring deep subject matter expertise and instincts to help Carta build a seamless digital experience for our users and prospects.

  • Experience with CRO, Analytics [Looker, Google Analytics, Salesforce, etc.], Content Management Systems, website redesign best practices, and technical migrations
  • Experience with cross-functional partnership: web development, copywriting, editorial, SEO, web design, brand, events, etc.
  • Experienced in executive level communications and presentations.
  • A passion for category creation, and an excitement for our mission to create more owners.
  • An owner mentality: You take pride in your work and view what you do as a part-owner and builder of Carta.
  • An ability to create processes that help us scale, while keeping the flexibility needed to innovate.
  • Passion for team building and development.
  • High intellectual horsepower and EQ.
  • Comfortable with data and complex domains.
The Interview Process

After submitting an application, a member of our recruiting team will partner with the hiring manager to review your application. If there’s a mutual fit, a member of our recruiting team will reach out to you to schedule an initial conversation. In this conversation, the expectation is to learn more about your general interest in Carta and how your experience could translate to the Marketing team. After this conversation, if the team decides to move forward, the next step is a conversation with your prospective manager. This is an opportunity to dive deeper into your skillset and better understand the expectations and impact of this role. If the prospective manager identifies a potential fit, the final stages include multiple virtual interviews with future stakeholders and marketing teammates!

We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing a positive interview experience for every candidate. If accommodations due to a disability or medical condition are needed, connect with us via email at [email protected]. As a company, we value fairness, helpfulness, transparency, leadership and build our teams around these values. Check out our careers page to get to know us better as you think about your next step at Carta.
