Senior Manager - Wireless Software Engineering

We’re looking for you, an experienced Wireless Software Engineering Manager to join our team and tackle these challenges head on.

How you’ll make an impact:

• You will manage a team of talented engineers working on multiple wireless solutions across the stack from cloud to MAC and PHY firmware layers 
• You will enhance and improve Skydio’s various wireless solutions, extending the range and providing high-speed and secure communication
• You will oversee the development and realization of real world innovations in WiFi and Cellular technologies and tailor them to specific drone communication use cases
• You will work to optimize command and control latency, video streams fusion, and end to end network management for various use cases and customer needs

What makes you a good fit: 

• Experience with WLAN software engineering with broad knowledge across the stack
• Extensive hands on experience in one or more core technologies most specifically in WiFi 802.11 and Cellular 4G-LTE/5GNR
• Deep system level understanding of wireless communications and its fundamentals
• Strong familiarity with software test coverage and automation
• Strong management and leadership skills including the ability to plan, execute and deliver a very high quality product with a high performing team
• Can work in a collaborative cross-functional environment alongside Systems, Software Embedded, and Hardware Engineers
• Strong debugging skills in a variety of environments 

Compensation Range: 

The annual base salary range for this position is $212,500 - $262,000* (dependent on final leveling). Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
