Senior Managing Security Consultant - Operational Technology (f/m/x)

As a Security Leader you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients analyzing business requirements to design implement and manage the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your consulting and technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client’s organization and its assets.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Operational Technology (OT) Security Senior Managing Consultant (SMC) is responsible for the OT security business in the DACH Market. The SMC will partner with clients to evaluate validate and prioritize activities relevant to client needs. The SMC is then responsible for designing coordinating implementing defined OT security services and products that meet contract commitments to the highest degree of value. This requires the ability to provide leadership by facilitating a community of like-minded practitioners to share and exchange ideas for practice growth and improvement. The role requires demonstrating thought leadership sales leadership and delivery leadership in enterprise security strategies and OT security solutions within the Distribution Automotive Energy & Utilities Oil & Gas Pharma and Manufacturing industries.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Mandatory Consulting skills:

• Effective communication and presentation skills and the ability to lead large groups and be a primary facilitator.
• Ability to serve as an advisor for OT Security solutions.
• Ability to work with global teams to develop complex solutions proposals cost estimates and contracts related to OT Security services.
• Ability to lead global and diverse teams in project delivery of complex OT Security projects.
• Ability to translate security impacts for a wider business context and understanding of end-to-end threat landscape for relevant sectors.
• Experience in creating clear & well-articulated technical architecture drawings documents and Power Point presentations for internal and external audiences.

Mandatory Security Skills:

• Proven experience in consulting for OT Security projects for large complex clients.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security components.
• Must have knowledge and experience with Security Operations Center (SOC) concepts processes and technologies.
• Practical experience with most of the following cybersecurity domains: Security Operations Endpoint Protection Vulnerability Management Log Management Threat Hunting Threat Intelligence Breach & Attack Simulation.
• Deep technical experience with at least one market-leading OT Security solutions.
• Knowledge of prevalent OT environment threats and vulnerabilities and remediation activities.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• At least 10 years of experience in management consulting and systems integration in a professional services firm or in a company related leadership role responsible for ICS Security.
• At least 3 years of experience in leading OT Security projects with hands on experience in implementing OT Security solutions.
• Readiness to travel across Europe up to 3 days per week.
• Master’s degree preferably in Engineering Information Systems Management or similar.
