The Senior Behavioral Health Market Development Professional provides support to assigned health plan and/or specialty companies relative to Medicaid product implementation, operations, contract compliance, and federal contract application submissions. The Senior Behavioral Health Market Development Professional serves as the primary resource on regulations for all assigned health plans. Reviews and identifies all behavioral health related elements in RFPs for Medicaid expansion. Ensures that our health plans are meeting or exceeding corporate Medicaid and State performance benchmarks. Facilitates relationships with regulators within multiple regions. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in a fast paced insurance or behavioral health care setting
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience implementing and measuring success on complex health-related initiatives and pilots in behavioral health
- Strategic thinker with ability to work independently
- Strong relationship building skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Process-focused, with ability to leverage and enhance existing processes
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Deep understanding of how behavioral health services are delivered, and experience with Community Mental Health Centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers and other BH organizations
- WORK AT HOME Requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
- COVID VACCINATION: Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Behavioral healthcare experience in Medicaid RFP contributions
- PMP certification
- Six Sigma
- Proficient with Microsoft Access, Visio and Project
