The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago hosts the National Marketing Team for the Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) suite of products. The products we support are used by ~10,000 financial institutions in the U.S. and move over $4 trillion a day in payments.
We are looking for an experienced marketing specialist responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Federal Reserve Financial Services branding and visual identity strategies and ensuring consistent usage across the organization. We ask that you are a team player who builds relationships with internal stakeholders and has brand identity, graphic design, and project management skills. The level of work required is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. You will not have direct reports.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead FRFS branding strategy and visual identity for the FRFS marketing team.
  • Manage selected agency for strategic FRFS brand assessment and development of refreshed brand logo, narrative, color palette, style guide, image library, templates and more.
  • Ensure applied visual brand standards across all FRFS web and digital platforms and printed marketing materials.
  • Build and curate FRFS image libraries and iconography.
  • Create and maintain self-serve online branding portal for FRFS employee use.
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for roster of design agencies and freelancers, responsible for procurement, agency invoicing and budget reconciliation.
  • Manage intake for all Marketing-generated design projects and fulfills either personally or oversees work of agency or freelancer.
  • Manage production schedules with vendors and internal stakeholders; ensure applicable reviews for scoped deliverables and accountability for deadlines and budget.
  • Develop internal education and awareness strategies in support of brand awareness and proper usage.
  • Partner with internal research team to conduct surveys and solicit stakeholder feedback to ensure brand is resonating internally and externally.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and work with executive level leadership across Federal Reserve Financial Services business lines and Federal Reserve System.

YOUR BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, related field or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in graphic design, art direction, and/or branding strategy preferred
  • Experience using Adobe InDesign, Canva and other leading design applications
  • Experience designing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and Microsoft Word templates
  • Advanced knowledge of digital content strategy, corporate communications, B2B marketing principles and practices
  • Advanced level of attention to detail resulting in high-quality deliverables
  • Ability to negotiate and influence without direct authority and strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a highly complex, fast-paced agile environment, geographically diverse, and matrixed organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication and executive presence skills
  • Independent thinking, objective analysis, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience developing and executing content marketing strategies
