Senior Marketing Content Writer

Reports to: Director Brand and Product Marketing

Location: Full-time flex remote (Austin, KC, Toronto, Remote)


PayIt is looking for a talented Senior Marketing Content Writer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to fuel our revenue generation, customer retention, and growth through content-driven demand creation and reputation programs.

The Marketing Content Writer will produce marketing content for demand generation and thought leadership programs. They will ensure that our marketing content aligns to our goals and objectives for awareness-building and demand creation, and will collaborate across the marketing team to help define and execute an end-to-end content strategy spanning all stages of the buyer journey, from problem awareness, through consideration, evaluation, and ownership/championship.

Attractive candidates will bring strong writing skills and foundational knowledge of B2B/B2G tech marketing practices and content strategy.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Be a key contributor in the development of thought leadership, messaging, and marketing content strategy and a generator of ideas for content campaigns 
  • Help drive collaboration and consensus among management, product, and field teams on key themes and assets required to meet business goals
  • Develop content for programs and campaigns, in partnership with product marketing, and demand creation teams
  • Build a strong understanding of our buyers, our market, and our industry, in order to drive innovative content plays across form factors 
  • With others, develop a human and distinctive brand voice for PayIt that helps us break through in a crowded industry and reflects our disruptive products, without sacrificing credibility 
  • Manage the marketing content editorial calendar. Perform annual content audits and oversee the ongoing maintenance of content library 
  • Oversee content measurement and KPIs, including the design and operation of relevant dashboards, reports, and analyses
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in content marketing and make recommendations for content programs accordingly
  • Ensure that PayIt’s brand voice and key messages are consistently delivered across content types ranging from social media posts to long-form materials

What you need: 

  • At least 3 years of experience with B2B/B2G technology marketing in a demand generation, content marketing, or performance-oriented corporate communications role 
  • GovTech experience a plus but not required
  • Superior writing and editing skills (samples to be provided)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
