Working in a collaborative team environment, the Senior Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting our marketing program activities, including client development, capture planning, proposal development, RFP compliance, client interview preparation, graphics/multimedia/social media coordination and development, technical writing/editing, database management, and a range of other marketing tasks. Strong organizational aptitude, writing/editing acumen, attention to detail, graphics knowledge/expertise, communication skills, and the ability to develop project schedules and proactively work under deadlines with diplomacy are essential. This position requires balancing multiple concurrent assignments while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Marketing Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

  • Work with Business Development and Marketing leads, as well as Project Managers to prepare materials, including qualifications, brochures, presentations, newsletters, proposals, award submittals, announcements and reports
  • Develop and coordinate graphics, write and edit layout materials
  • Conceptualize, research and develop marketing materials, proposals, promotions and presentations
  • Write non-technical text, and edit and proofread all marketing communications
  • Provide storyboarding and message development for strategic pursuits
  • Be responsible for timely production and quality of marketing communications
  • Actively participate in content for business class and marketing materials development
  • Coordinate trade show participation; develop conference concepts, promotions and artwork, and coordinate booth activities
  • Actively participate in content for marketing materials development
  • Support client development / planning meetings and manage action items
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, databases and information
  • Interface with people both inside and outside the firm to fulfill job requirements.
  • Perform other duties as needed

These marketing activities require self-direction and ability for forward thinking. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work under deadlines is a must.

  • Bachelor's Degree; Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, English or Journalism preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, primarily with water related clients in the Northeast.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and MS Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, creative/graphic design skills and use of other media in marketing proposals, presentations and related collateral materials.
  • Committed to quality, continuous improvement and HDR values.
  • Works cooperatively with diverse teams, including technical managers and project staff.
  • Requires little or no direction in area of specialization.
  • Must exhibit proficient technical computer skills, advanced knowledge of communication theory and basic layout and design principles.
  • Demonstrates understanding of market and public relations.
  • Willingness to travel between HDR offices within the Northeast.
  • Adhere to HDR standards, facilitate the proposal review process, and guide production.
