Job Description

The Senior Marketing Coordinator/Business Strategist will assist in planning and implementing marketing strategies to meet company goals for new customer acquisition, retention, growth and profitability across several industries and markets, including colleges, parks, hospitals, businesses, transportation and more. This key position is responsible for the overall management, development and execution of marketing initiatives including conferences and trade shows, print collateral, social media, websites, direct mail and email campaigns. Proficiency in project management, communication, problem-solving, creativity, relationship building, deadline adherence and editing/proofing is essential.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist all phases of project development, including project planning and project team coordination, and own the overall timeline and deliverables to help drive projects to a successful completion.
  • Work within our project management and proofing tool to ensure all projects flow through the project management process.
  • Clearly define project goals, track success metrics, set and adhere to budgets, and ensure clarity in audience targeting, messaging, and calls-to-action.
  • Develop comprehensive and actionable creative briefs, emphasizing clear project objectives. Build internal client relationships and work with the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager to ensure the marketing team delivers exceptional client service and achieves high client satisfaction.
  • Lead and assist in developing project-specific and market-centric strategies.
  • Act as the liaison between all teams and communicate clearly on content, decisions, timing and project status to ensure project cohesion and alignment.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings, including campaign kick-offs and ongoing marketing meetings surrounding business initiatives.
  • Monitor communication project requests against annual plans, highlighting unplanned proposals to marketing leaders and aiding in project prioritization. Maintain weekly project update documents to send or present to internal client teams to keep all parties informed of the progress on marketing projects.
  • Manage the creative development and approval process, including creative concepting, content review, sales team review and feedback, management review, and proofing.
  • Oversee and coordinate production needs (printing, mailing, proofs, etc).
  • Manage ad hoc creative requests from sales teams.
  • Assist in planning goals, strategies and tactics for assigned markets.
  • Collaborate with market leads and the marketing team to strategize, craft and oversee content across all social media platforms for various brands.
  • Lead efforts to determine key metrics and KPIs for our website and social media.
  • Stay ahead of emerging social media tools and trends.
  • Analyze and track competitors and industry leaders on social media.
  • Generate reports, campaign summaries and dashboards as needed.
  • Create, build, test and execute email initiatives across assigned markets.

Trade Show Management

  • Coordinate details for exhibits and tradeshows for assigned markets, including list acquisition/qualification, general strategy and segmentation, creative development, on-site resources, promotional materials, video presentations, sales support content, and shipping logistics.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with conference organizers, staff, vendors, project leads and other key stakeholders at all levels to ensure the integration and execution of program strategies, tactics, and messaging.
  • Ensure booth design and materials align with the intended goals and objectives.
  • Oversee all exhibit logistics (booth space, staffing, booth services, labor, furnishings, registrations, collateral, etc.) and maintain close communication with the show's staff.
  • Develop and facilitate pre- and post-show planning and training sessions to ensure goals, expectations and logistics are clearly communicated.
  • Establish, track and report on metrics for each exhibit/tradeshow, benchmarking and measuring effectiveness through surveys, ROI and other accountability metrics.
  • Provide data and recommendations in the creation of yearly show strategies; utilize data to make recommendations for future trade show planning.

Professional Requirements

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in a professional setting
  • Project management experience in marketing, advertising or a related field
  • B2B experience strongly preferred
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and creativity while managing workloads and pursues objectives beyond what is required or expected
  • Possesses superb organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Public Relations required

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of high-quality content across different formats and channels.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a data-driven approach to content creation and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), social media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Business-to-business writing experienc
  • Bachelor degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
