Forge is looking for an experienced Sr. Marketing Designer to help drive engagement and impact with our multiple audiences – employee shareholders, startup executives, and investors – through rapid design & creative execution across a breadth of marketing activities. A skilled collaborator with cross-functional teammates, you will take the lead on representing our brand and driving customer engagement through design that spans a variety of digital touchpoints, from content and experiences on our public website, to email, social media, and other digital marketing initiatives. Inspired by data and qualitative insight, you bring a high bar for creative exploration and execution while embracing the velocity and testing of a modern, high-performing marketing organization.
Reporting to the VP of Design, you’ll have a strong community of practice within Forge’s Design team while being embedded within and having a primary responsibility of supporting Forge’s Marketing organization. Your work will be guided by world-class marketing and design colleagues, and you will have meaningful opportunities for mentorship and career advancement. Additionally, your work will be both highly visible and impactful within Forge and in the new market space that we have pioneered.
- Lead design activities for a wide breadth of marketing programs and initiatives, driven by empathy for customers and a passion for impact
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously from concepts to deliverables including display ads, email designs, landing pages, social media campaigns, infographics, print, event/trade show design, and sales enablement (presentations and collateral)
- Own the visual design and information architecture of our public website, informed by our new brand guidelines, design system, as well as stakeholder input
- Establish best practices and processes to ensure consistently high-quality, on-brand materials
- Ensure brand consistency across all your work and utilize customer insights and data to inform marketing design strategy, increase engagement and conversion
- Leverage the work of Forge’s brand experts (Pentagram) to support the roll-out of brand expression materials across the organization
- Participate actively in cross-functional team(s) across Marketing, Product, Engineering and Data/Insights teams to establish priority, scope and roadmap for marketing- and growth-related development projects
- Leverage your expertise and embedded role in Marketing to evolve the practice of design at Forge
- Partner with the broader Forge Design team, strengthening continuity across experiences, best practices, systems and approach
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of marketing design for an in-house creative department or agency, directly supporting Marketing, channel and growth initiatives
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptionally high quality design work in a marketing context across the platforms and media as described above, as well as your approach to planning, designing, leading, measuring and delivering outcomes in your past roles
- Experience working closely with an insights/analytics team to create, test, and refine creative initiatives
- Case studies outlining your approach to being informed by data, rapid iteration, outcome measurement and optimization through design. Show how you have leveraged your Design expertise to measurably impact customer engagement, satisfaction, conversion and outcomes
- Experience with using, augmenting (and enforcing) brand guidelines
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering organizations, with examples of successful patterns you have used to leverage these relationships to deliver customer value and business impact
- Experience with our key Design, Product and Marketing tools, especially Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Atlassian (Jira & Confluence
- Highly organized in your work, comfortable managing deadlines and multiple assignments in parallel
- Experience with print as well as digital design
- Design experience in the context of financial services, capital markets, and/or FinTech
- Experience working closely with or within a high-performing marketing organization
- Experience working within one or more high-growth startups
- Some experience with motion design, working directly with or providing guidance for video/animation work
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time while working
