A role you will love
This Senior Marketing Manager role is responsible for creating the marketing strategy and overseeing its execution for the portfolio of offerings, including products, services and solutions for the North America and Canada regions, and aligning it to the global marketing strategy.
This role reports directly to the Global Head of Portfolio Marketing for the Employee Share Plans business and partners with the North America Managing Director. The role will involve occasional travel between offices in Canada and North America.
This role will suit a dynamic and resilient senior marketing manager who is able to deal with change in a fast paced and ever adapting environment. Primary Accountabilities
- Partner with colleagues across the business to translate the business objectives, market opportunities and portfolio of offerings into a formal, cohesive marketing strategy for the region that is aligned to the global marketing strategy.
- Define target audience needs, market trends and the competitive landscape using insight and data to inform decision making.
- Own and maintain persona creation including media journey and consumption and be the voice of the client.
- Lead the execution of the marketing plan, collaborating with the Global Marketing Services team to ensure best-in-class activity is delivered on time and to budget.
- Collaborate and maintain a two-way dialogue with sales/business development to ensure marketing strategy is understood and feedback is actively sought and acknowledged.
- Oversee launch planning for new business offerings with clear milestones, sequencing, and deliverables.
- Recommend the annual marketing planning and budget for the business; and manage the agreed budget and communicate any deviations that may occur on-going.
- Own regular marketing performance reviews and identification of action items to improve revenue performance actively contributing learnings and best practice to the Portfolio Marketing team for Plans
What will you bring to the role?
The Senior Marketing Manager role will help shape the strategic marketing approach for Computershare's Employee Share Plans business in the North America and Canada regions. This role will have a direct impact on the delivery of marketing activity within the regions to help the business achieve its objectives. The role holder will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the marketing activity for the region so that it meets quality standards and is delivered on-time and on-budget.
Required Skills
- Formal marketing qualification (degree or Chartered Institute of Marketing) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
- Proven B2B and/or B2C marketing experience with a demonstrated understanding of managing all elements of the marketing mix.
- Strong digital knowledge and skills are required: CRM, web, social media, and search.
- Significant experience of managing marketing strategies and campaigns within complex business environments.
- Experience working within financial services, professional services or a highly regulated industry with local market knowledge and understanding of the regions being key. Employee equity plans business experience would be an advantage.
- Ability to provide support, coaching and guidance to members of the Global Marketing Services team by undertaking a mentoring role, coordinating tasks and/or checking on completion and quality of work. The role will also require sharing of best practice and involve leading key projects for the Global Portfolio Marketing team which will be global in scope.
- Good strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to interpret customer and market data and analyze campaign return on investment.
- Ability to manage multiple and sometimes challenging priorities while developing innovative solutions in a fast-changing environment, always looking for improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and some evaluative judgment based on best practice and previous experience within a complex environment.
- Advanced communication skills to be able to provide clear verbal and/or written communications in relation to marketing activities and updates.
- Utilize strong stakeholder management skills to be able to manage internal stakeholders with tact, diplomacy, and assertiveness as well as liase with external professional bodies. Through negotiation and influence, the role holder will need the ability to overcome obstacles and see through plans, as well as communicate complex concepts simply across the business and at different levels of the organization.
This role will require travel in between offices.
