Senior Marketing Manager
Job Description
AllSci is an innovative startup revolutionizing the creation, publication, and consumption of scientific knowledge. AllSci’s platform allows researchers to publish all their ideas and results, explore the scientific knowledgebase in new ways, and get credit for their contributions to the dialogue. The platform will lead to significantly increased volume, value, and machine readability of scientific information and will address the issues of incentives, trust, and reproducibility that plague research today. AllSci has assembled a strong team of AI technologists and industry veterans and plans to launch its platform in 2024.
POSITION
AllSci is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to help launch its platform in 2024. This individual will work with the executive team to identify audiences, develop and execute marketing and communications strategies, and help position the company and product in the competitive landscape.
Product Launch & Growth
- Identify and segment customers
- Develop and execute innovative strategies to seed the market, creating early buzz and engagement among target users in the scientific and academic communities
- Assist in the planning and execution of product launch activities, ensuring they align with the overall GTM strategy and company objectives. Coordinate across teams to deliver a unified and impactful launch
- Build and nurture a community of early adopters and brand advocates through strategic outreach, engaging content, and personalized communication
- Design and implement creative promotional campaigns that effectively communicate AllSci’s unique value propositions and benefits, driving anticipation and user sign-ups pre-launch and post-launch
PR & Media
- Create partnerships with opinion leaders and influencers to build brand awarenessÂ
- Engage the scientific press through white papers, blog posts
- Maintain social media presence
- Own and maintain the AllSci corporate website
Events
- Work with conference providers to secure speaking opportunities at major conferences
- Act as a key representative at both events and industry gatherings, effectively communicating AllSci's value and benefits to a diverse audience, from potential customers to industry peers
- Handle logistical aspects of event participation, including booth setup, marketing materials, and technology requirements, ensuring a professional presence and seamless interaction with attendees
Strategy
- Work with executive team to convert users from freemium to premium services, including tailored messaging and value proposition enhancements
- Design and execute A/B tests for email marketing campaigns to optimize user engagement and conversion rates
- Work with product team to design and implement organic growth strategy to drive users to AllSci platform
- Work closely with product, sales, and technical teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives and product roadmaps
- Conduct competitive analysis and help position brand within the product landscape
Measurement
- Analyze marketing metrics and KPIs to inform strategic decisions and report on marketing ROI, with a strong proficiency in quantitative analysis and data visualization tools
- Utilize survey tools like Qualtrics to gather meaningful customer insights and feedback, aiding in customer testing and marketing strategy
Experience
- 5+ years' experience in Marketing role
- Deep knowledge of and network in the life science community
- Familiarity with Salesforce, digital marketing/social media platforms and analytics tools (e.g. Google analytics)
- Experience in managing and growing social media platforms, using them as effective tools for engagement and promotion
- Demonstrated high-quality, compelling content for various marketing channels, strong writing and editing skills with an ability to tailor messages for different audiences
