Our Ways of Working
We’re a remote-first company with team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees so people can get the work done in the way that suits them best. After all, many parents call Babylist their professional home, and sometimes, you just have to jump off that Zoom meeting to clean up that banana that’s getting stomped on by your 2 year old.
We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to quickly build those relationships, we offer the opportunity to meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually. Most of our roles are fully remote, but these opportunities to meet in person will involve limited amounts of travel. For some leaders, there might be more opportunities to get together in person that would require about 10% travel to Oakland, CA or elsewhere.
What the Role Is
Babylist is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Marketing Team. This key role is new to Babylist and will own the end-to-end marketing plans and strategy for new internal business and brands that are key to Babylist’s long-term growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with 8+ years of experience who deeply understands marketing (from brand to performance) while keeping the user top of mind.
The Senior Marketing Manager will report to the Director, Editorial & Brand.
Who You Are
- You are excited to own the end-to-end marketing plan and strategy for new and existing Babylist initiatives from zero to one, including GTM/launch plans and optimizing existing assets.
- You are a strategic leader who deeply understands marketing from brand to performance.
- Understand the best performing creative and media placements via a test-and-learn mentality with the ability to identify and test new marketing channels.
- Excellent communicator (you listen well and communicate effectively across teams).
- Rely on data and insights to help build and execute strategy.
- Extremely user-centric in marketing approach with the ability to hit business goals while serving our users.Â
- Detailed oriented while keeping eye on the bigger picture.
- ​​Manage multiple priorities and projects.Â
How You Will Make an Impact
- This person will be responsible for helping plan for and hit business goals, including revenue, traffic, and conversion while owning the marketing budget.
- Develop annual marketing plans for 3-5 new Babylist brands, working cross-functionally to understand brand needs, internal assets, and strategy.
- Own and optimize marketing KPIs, reporting cross-functionally on learnings and next steps.
- Own the brand voice, guidelines, and consumer insights (studies and NPS) for all brands.
