Position Summary
Avantax Wealth Management, a subsidiary of Blucora and sister company to Avantax Planning Partners, is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager - SigniFI Elite Advisor Marketing that will be responsible for overseeing the operations of value-added marketing services for Avantax's top-producing and growth-oriented financial professionals. This individual is responsible for identifying and monitoring key performance indicators that demonstrate the effectiveness of SigniFI's customized marketing support, and managing the revenue, expenditures, and evolution of the business unit. The role facilitates business development efforts and oversees the onboarding of new SigniFI members, as well as collaborating with the Head of Brand Strategy on members' strategic marketing plans for quality assurance. With the support of the Director of Advisor Marketing & Communications, this individual supervises and leads the team of SigniFI marketers
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

SigniFI Business Management:
- In conjunction with the Director of FP Marketing & Communications, prospect for qualified new SigniFI members-building relationships with select advisors through Avantax events, presentations, and individual meetings.
- Conduct speaking engagements on behalf of SigniFI as needed, including chapter meetings and conference presentations.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective SigniFI members, and report monthly on progress toward membership goals and other business KPIs.
- Facilitate contract execution and renewals, billing setup, and monthly invoicing for all member firms.
- Execute annual net promoter score survey among SigniFI members.
- Compile member testimonials and build a library of case studies to complement SigniFI's business intelligence dashboard to illustrate member firm growth.
- Monitor annual budget and quarterly expenditures. Assemble first drafts of future budgets and forecasts for input from the Director of FP Marketing & Communications.
- Oversee the creation of new revenue streams and service expansions.
SigniFI Team Management:
- Onboard, mentor, and train marketing managers on SigniFI's processes, core competencies, and member service expectations.
- Manage team members' performance through annual reviews and midyear check-ins. Provide clear and actionable feedback and cultivate their strengths to encourage growth opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with key member firms to source new opportunities and help resolve challenges.
Process & Quality Assurance:
- Maintain, refine, and ensure the adoption of SigniFI's processes to deliver timely, high-quality work to our member firms.
- In conjunction with the Head of Brand Strategy, lead the onboarding of new SigniFI members and support marketing managers with the development of brand strategies and marketing plans to achieve the firm's goals for business growth.
- Review brand strategies and marketing plans before they are presented to member firms, ensuring quality control of SigniFI's most significant deliverable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in the marketing industry
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
- Experience managing people in a professional environment is required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including knowledge of AP Style.
- Familiarity with content management systems, analytics tracking, client relationship management tools, and social media and email marketing platforms.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodology.
- Strong proficiency in various computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Physical Demand & Work Effort
- Keying/typing, standing, walking.
- Sitting for an extended period.
- Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment.
- The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.
