About the Job:

Seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Fractional Chief Marketing Officer or Marketing Strategist that will provide strategic marketing leadership for our FI client. As a Fractional CMO or Marketing Strategist, you will work closely with the client’s exec team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive growth, enhance brand recognition, and achieve business objectives. You will develop and present brand strategy, integrated marketing, and advertising recommendations at the client-account level based on defined business objectives to deepen customer engagement, loyalty, increase revenue, and deliver campaign results. We are looking for a results-driven marketing strategist with a proven track record in conducting audience research and working with creative teams to inform high-converting campaigns across digital and traditional channels. This role requires deep expertise in the financial industry, exceptional strategic thinking, and a track record of successfully implementing marketing initiatives.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Drive positioning, segmentation and communications strategy
  • Define go-to-market strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Develop and lead customer lifecycle strategies across acquisition, retention and loyalty
  • Define multi-channel campaigns aligned to the customer and marketing experience journey
  • Strong knowledge of primary research methodologies and analysis
  • Provide strategic oversight to in-flight campaigns and inform optimization
  • Define campaign measurement strategies and inform actionable KPIs
  • Experience with B2C and B2B marketing strategy
  • Ability to define, review and source appropriate external partners (Creative agencies, SEO, martech platforms, etc)
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets
  • Partner with leadership team in proposal of solutions to clients
  • Coach client stakeholders and team members on effective marketing strategy
  • Assess and report the health of project delivery with objectivity, accuracy, and transparency
  • Ensure appropriate partners are engaged in risk identification and mitigation
  • Craft and implement dashboards; synthesize data and present to executive leadership
  • Build strong client relationships and work collaboratively with diverse leaders
  • Communicate ideas, status, and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to internal talent development and training initiatives
  • Support business development and sales pursuits

What You'll Bring With You:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience 
  • Bachelors in Marketing, BA. MBA or advanced marketing certs are a plus
  • Proven experience as a Fractional CMO or similar senior marketing leadership role within the financial industry
  • Deep understanding of the financial industry
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels, both traditional and digital
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to drive marketing decisions, set KPIs and measure performance
  • Management of external partners, vendors and/or suppliers
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving targets and delivering measurable marketing outcomes
  • Adaptability and agility to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
