Senior Mechanical Engineer - Corded/Cordless Products Needham MA (On-Site)

We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help shape what comes next.
This is a front-end role. That means you're not inheriting someone else's design brief - you're the one figuring out what's possible before the brief exists. You'll work at the edge of what's technically feasible turning ambiguous consumer problems into working prototypes and working prototypes into product roadmap decisions.
What You'll Own
You'll be embedded in the early-stage innovation phase for Ninja's Corded/Cordless Products product line - the space between "what if?" and "here's proof it works." Your job is to move fast validate ideas early and hand off credible consumer-tested solutions to the development team.
In practice that looks like:

• Driving the front-end technology and feasibility roadmap for Corded/Cordless Products products collaborating with engineering industrial design brand and test kitchen teams across the US UK and China
• Building proof-of-concept rigs and functional prototypes to stress-test ideas early - before the business invests in full development
• Working across the full system: mechanical design sensors software batteries connectivity - you see the whole picture not just your slice of it
• Communicating ideas rapidly through sketching CAD layouts 3D models and physical prototypes
• Running design and engineering studies - solo and in teams - with the consumer experience as the north star at every stage
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a team culture that treats failure as signal not setback
• Staying close to IP development identifying novel and inventive solutions alongside R&D

What You Bring
You're a hands-on engineer who's most energized when the problem is undefined. You have strong mechanical fundamentals an instinct for electromechanical systems and enough breadth to hold a real conversation with software and electrical teams. You prototype to learn not just to present.
Required:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering Product Design or a closely related field
• 4-8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or product design
• Hands-on experience designing electromechanical products in a product development environment
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo
• Experience with plastic part design including injection-molded silicone and rubber components
• Comfortable in the lab: building prototypes running tests reporting findings and determining next steps
• Strong communicator - you can sketch an idea on a whiteboard and defend it in an engineering review

Nice to Have:

• Background in consumer goods or household appliances
• Experience designing sheet metal components
• Familiarity working with IP teams to identify novel or inventive solutions
