Job Description

About the Job

Giant Spoon is looking for a Senior Media Analyst with a track record for teasing insights from data. Someone who knows the story lies between the lines - a combination of qualitative and quantitative, art and science analysis. Ideal candidates should have a history of nurturing actionable recommendations by combining quantitative skill sets with qualitative research. This role is highly visible, and the first point of contact for all media data. Your end goal is to position analytics as a launchpad for media with a positive impact across all marketing channels.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their ability to distill the complex and hard-to-understand into actionable insights. Candidates are able to extract meaningful learnings from the noise, and will also go out of their way to seek answers that are not immediately obvious. They find themselves doing more with less without losing sight of the client’s business objectives - geeking out on data while getting others excited in the process.

The ideal candidate has a “big picture” purview into marketing intelligence and cross-channel measurement and experience building relationships with agency / channel leads. Additionally, evaluate data integrity and work to QA all media data for accuracy and consistency. Working within our database system (Datorama), the Senior Media Analyst prepares the dashboard for team review and helps to develop initial insights on campaign performance.

Responsibilities
  • Pull campaign performance media data on a consistent basis, QAing data for accuracy and aggregating into a database.
  • Analyze data using a number of different databases and marketing tools (Datorama, Looker, Funnel).
  • Prepare presentations to internal and external clients on findings while telling a story rather than presenting just numbers.
  • Work with members of the team and individually to develop Measurement Frameworks and testing strategies for upcoming campaigns/strategies.
  • QAs trafficking documents to ensure media specifications are compatible with internal data models
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in the advertising or digital marketing industry
  • Holistic understanding of digital marketing ecosystem, workflow, and measurement
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Proficiency with data automation, modeling, and visualization tools
  • Experience with building and maintaining automated systems for data collection, ETL, and classification using tools such as Datorama, Looker, Funnel, Tableau or others
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, DCM and other analytics and advertising platforms
  • Foundational understanding of Media buying, Ad Operations and Tagging
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to clients and internal teams in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Prisma/Media Ocean or other media buying platforms a plus
  • Experience with SQL and Python for data manipulations, data aggregations, and statistical analysis a plus

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. Salary is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location. For this role, we also offer programs such as medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and various other benefits and perks.

Giant Spoon is an agency that strives to build an inclusive workplace dynamically rooted in our differences. What makes you, you, is your greatest asset here.
