Job Description:

LOCATION: This job is fully remote eligible within the United States. If located in Jacksonville, FL some onsite may be required.

SUMMARY

Responsible for analyzing data and metadata solutions for Black Knight. Documents processes to transform metadata through data mapping, modeling, and standardization. Performs Data Governance activities as directed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts data mapping and analysis, capturing metadata requirements
• Maintaining data models, metadata and data lineage
• Documents metadata use cases
• Conducts quality control review of extracted metadata content
• Analyzes data requirements, data dictionaries, database and XML schema(s)
• Defines XML Schema and other data requirements to successfully exchange business process document data into our systems
• Transfers business documents to data requirements
• Provides test planning and test case guidance to Quality Assurance to confirm the outcomes of the requirement changes meet the expectations of the business partners and clients
• Researches data strategies and provides recommendations on best practices and changes in technology
• Serves as an integral participant in the data governance process and resulting design and documentation
• Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
• Requires 10+ years of data integration or related experience
• Experience in data analysis, data lineage, data mapping and/or data modeling
• Experience in SQL querying

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated experience with data (metadata) manipulation and analysis (highly preferred)
• Working knowledge of database principles (e.g. DB2, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Experience with Hadoop Data Stores such as HBase and Hive
• Experience reading and/analyzing COBOL copybooks
• Understand the integrity of data, including data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and reporting
• Familiar with data standards/procedures and data governance
• Experience in data integration projects
• Mortgage Industry experience
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Experience training/mentoring more junior level team members
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to research and present outcomes in a clear and concise manner
