Senior Mobile Android Developer (Remote)

This software developer is part of the onshore mobile development team. This role is responsible for working with their team lead and offshore peers to understand designs for complex software and be capable of providing valuable contribution to the design discussion. They will be responsible for independent delivery of complex software tasks with minimal guidance needed from technical leads. Expected to participate in all aspects of software development process such as design discussions, planning, writing code, reviewing code, testing code, documentation, and execution of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Write code for complex enterprise systems
• Participate in Agile software ceremonies to and contribute to the process of reviewing, designing, planning, documenting, developing, testing, and delivering software.
• Design minor components or features with minimal guidance from technical leads
• Contribute to product protection through test planning, automation test contribution, execution and review of test output
• Review code written by other developers
• Help train and mentor other developers

Required Experience

• 3+ years' experience in software development, with hands on experience with Android software development
• Unit test development experience

• Proven success in creating robust designs/solutions for software problems and track record of delivery in large software projects

• Excellent problem solver with critical thinking skills
• A desire to make a difference through responsibility and ownership and a passion for helping others
• Strong collaborative partner, with experience in coding with an offshore development team
• Independent thinker with strong self-motivation, time management skills
• Excellent written and oral communicator
• High school diploma or GED Associates, Boot camp, or equivalent technical training courses, or demonstrated technical proficiency (ex: samples, projects, repository)

Preferred Qualifications

• Kotlin experience
• C# experience
• Experience working in a team enterprise development setting
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
