Senior Mobile Application Developer

As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will be responsible for supporting and improving the existing native iOS mobile apps and convert them into the hybrid mobile apps (iOS and Android) using Flutter. The individual must appreciate a team environment, have sense of ownership and accountability, and possess the initiative to work with a minimum amount of supervision. 

Major Responsibilities

• Developing and supporting the Mobile application.
• Design, develop assist, and/or lead the development of native mobile applications for internal users as well as customers, partners, and other external user communities.
• Understand the business processes used both internally and externally with the ability to analyze, recommend, and assist in the implementation of process improvements and application implementations.
• Assist in the identification, evaluation, selection, implementation, and extension of package applications, SW libraries, application toolkits, and full software life cycle tools.
• Self-starter with the ability to work closely with the functional departments, and comfortable taking ownership of the work in an agile environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of knowledge in mobile app development.
• Knowledge of Flutter / Dart framework, Rest APIs, and integration of various APIs.
• Knowledge of iOS App development is a plus to support and migrate the native iOS apps.
• Strong knowledge of iOS/Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• In-depth understanding of Webpack, HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience using Bloc architecture in the development of Flutter apps.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as touch, and handwriting.
• Experience in the development of Android/iOS applications and have deployed them on Google Play/App Store.
• Familiarity using version control tools like Git, Subversion, etc., and IDEs like Android Studio, VS Code, etc.
• Nice to have:
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or a similar CI/CD platform for building, testing, and deploying mobile apps.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming languages like Objective C, C#, and Python.
  • Understanding of HTTP patterns and practices (RESTful services, HTTP methods, response status codes, authorization, Content-Type headers, etc.)
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as App Services, Microservices, Containers, Functions, Azure Cognitive Services, etc.
  • Experience with Test-based Development using unit testing and end-to-end UI testing.

Required Education:

• Candidate must have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related field.
• Candidate must have at least 4 years of software/application development experience.
