About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled senior mobile QA automation engineer to join our team and support our native iOS app and all of our React Native apps.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing mobile test automation executing automated tests identifying defects and working with developers to resolve issues.

What you’ll be doing

• Design develop and implement robust mobile test automation frameworks for both Android and iOS platforms using Appium/WebdriverIO .

• Create update and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans test cases and test reports.

• Lead and drive the evolution of current test automation frameworks and QA processes establishing best practices to ensure a high level of app stability.

• Execute automated tests analyze results and collaborate with developers to identify defects and areas for improvement.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in mobile test automation integrating new technologies as they become relevant.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers and designers to ensure that mobile applications meet and exceed quality standards.

What you’ll need to be successful

• Strong alignment with our values. Find our values on our career page if you haven’t read up on them yet.

• You are proficient in English (spoken written and reading) at a CEFR Level C1 / ILR Level 5 .

• 5+ years of experience in mobile test automation with a strong preference for and working knowledge of Appium/WebdriverIO .

• Demonstrate deep understanding of mobile app development frameworks and platforms ( iOS and Android ).

• Proficient in writing clean efficient code in both JavaScript and TypeScript .

• Proven track record of building and maintaining complex test suites and creating comprehensive manual testing plans for short-term and long-term projects from inception.

• Exhibit strong judgment and meticulous attention to detail in architectural product design and process decisions fostering a culture of trust within the team.

• Thrive in an environment that emphasizes speed of iteration and individual autonomy.

Bonus points

• Experience working with React Native (and Expo) or Swift .

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Buildkite with the ability to integrate and manage automated tests in the pipeline.

$100000 - $110000 a year

Cash compensation is a starting point and we want all of our team members to be able to grow in their roles. In addition to equity benefits and perks our cash compensation is subject to an annual review and increase on a once per year basis on the hire date anniversary.
