Senior Mobile React Native Developer

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Senior Mobile Engineer / React Developer will work closely with members across our product team (including solution architects, product owners, QA and delivery teams) to serve as a lead development resource for the organization's digital front door projects. This role will be responsible for both independent development tasks as well as collaborative work with internal and 3rd party resources to rapidly innovate across our digital products.

Essential Job Functions

• Leads development and implementation of leading-edge health care digital front door capabilities, including mobile applications using React Native that are paralleled by web applications using React, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Jquery
• Participates in the solution design process: requirements gathering and backlog refinement; contribute to functional design; lead technical design and development of mobile and web solutions.
• Mitigates risk with MVPS and prototypes and prioritize incremental builds with consideration for final product vision.
• Builds reusable and extensible UI features and scalable product components
• Assists stakeholders drive the direction of mobile development and put long-term product vision and consumer experience at center of key decisions
• Strong working understanding and experience of the Android and iOS platforms
• Experience working with Web Services, REST & JSON APIs
• Collaborates across mobile and web product teams to uphold standards and best practices and build digital features that can scale across platforms
• Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with product owners, solution architecture teams, scrum teams and UI/UX designers.
• Works within collaboration software (Jira) to document and plan development sprints, tasks and issues
• Builds, designs and delivers new front-end user capabilities using React and React Native.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (required)

Work Experience

• 5 years experience in mobile software engineering experience and React/React Native development (required)
• 7 years experience in mobile software engineering, React/React Native development, and web development (preferred)

Skills
