Summary / Role Purpose

The Mulesoft Senior Engineer will be involved in the solutioning, design, build, testing and documentation of API (Application Programming Interface) based microservices on the Mulesoft platform. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think strategically and be innovative while working in an agile and collaborative team-oriented environment. The candidate must have the ability to conduct workshops with stakeholders to understand and analyze business requirements, and problem statements, and design gaps in the existing process to provide scope & solutions aligning with the organization's IT-Architectural landscape tools. The candidate should be able to provide technical leadership (platform, best practices, standards, guidelines, roadmaps) to development teams using the API platform. The candidate should be able to create reusable artifacts, standards, templates, guidelines, and patterns for other team members. The candidate will support in proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability, stability, scalability, and performance. Must have intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn new skills and technologies along with an excellent work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• The MuleSoft Senior Developer is responsible for solutioning, designing and developing integration solutions in the MuleSoft platform
• The individual will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver accurate information to business users while in alignment with the business solution definition, systems architecture, and development standards for the organization
• The individual will Creates solution architecture diagrams, prototypes, and other design artifacts representing the approach and effect of proposed solution
• This role will interact with business analysts, solution architects, and the Integration Center of Excellence (ICOE) team members to participate in the design, development, and implementation of multiple system integration solutions
• The senior developer will contribute to the continuous improvement of technical standards and best practices for all aspects of system integration, especially as it relates to MuleSoft and APIs in general
• Participate in the effort to define and deliver integration solutions via the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
• Participate in medium to large size projects or product teams that may require new or significantly enhanced IT Applications and/or integrations
• Effectively participate in an integration team of diverse individuals that are geographically dispersed through all project lifecycles
• Work closely with solution architects to evaluate demand and produce estimates
• Report to the manager any blockers, issues, and risks that could impede the timely delivery of solutions per agreed timelines
• Work with solution architects to understand business requirements and translate them into solutions that provide optimal user experience, particularly related to APIs
• Evaluate, prototype, and propose solutions to identify new or enhanced capabilities to assist with deploying business value-driven solutions

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• 7+ years of software development experience with extensive integration experience in ESB / iPaaS tools like MuleSoft 4.x, Azure Integration Services, Dell Boomi, Snaplogic, Oracle SOA or similar tools.

• 5+ years of development experience using MuleSoft suite of products - Cloud Hub 1.0/2.0, Mule 4.x including RAML design, REST API design, Flow, Sub flow, message processor, connectors, components, scopes, flow control, error handling, batch processing, Dataweave 2.x, java, custom connector SDK.
• 4+ years of Experience with Anypoint platform set up including identity management, Client management, Roles and access, environment, VPC, DLB.
• 3+ years of Java web and application development experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and work experience in implementing integrations with Web services / SOAP / RESTful/gRPC/OData/Graphql / file based integration patterns and use of different Mule connectors (Any point MQ, Kafka, Azure Event Hub, File, Http/Https, Siebel, ServiceNow, SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce, Oracle EBS Connector etc.)
• Good understanding of Salesforce and Oracle EBS Integration flows and ability to architect integration solutions related to them.
• Experience on securing API endpoints using OIDC and SSO implementation using Azure AD/B2C.
• Strong knowledge about Maven for MuleSoft projects and end to end CI/CD using Azure Devops
• Extended knowledge about MUnit and test-driven development using PostMan
• Responsible for understanding and transforming business requirements into integration solution architecture and design interface specifications using API first approach.
• Responsible to defining and implementing the best practices while architecting solution which is highly scalable, available to meet the current business needs, and support the future state
• Experience in developing Microservices architecture-based API, Event Driven and Batch style integration patterns
• Experience in Java 1.8, Data Weave, JSON, Open API and RAML is required in a cloud or hybrid architecture platform.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Business process knowledge and work experience with ERP / Cloud systems within Sales, Marketing, Finance and CRM domains.
• Experience with DevOps culture and working knowledge in tools such as Maven, GitHub, and Azure Devops for CI/CD.
• Participate in proof-of-concept to demonstrate feasibility.
• Experience of security models, encryption, routing, transformations, error handling, logging, and testing frameworks.
• Working experience on Agile methodology and familiar with tools like Azure Devops and understanding of SDLC processes.
• Good communication skills, Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting skills and analytical skills
• Preferred candidates with MuleSoft Certifications:
• MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect
• MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect
