Senior Municipal Fixed Income Calc Associate

The Role

The Senior Municipal Fixed Income Calc Associate will work within our Data group and partner with our Calculation and Research teams to analyze industry-leading fixed income calculations with a primary focus on the municipals space. This will include leveraging our extensive global proprietary data assets and working closely with leading developers, architects, and product management within the fixed income fintech space.

How You’ll Help Take Us There  

• Perform analysis of bond calculation metrics
• Reconcile and fix errors in bond calculation metrics
• Recommend and implement processes and documentation
• Design, analyze, and review highly complex fixed income calculations across all aspects of our electronic trading and related systems
• Support business and development teams through the creative analysis of cutting-edge calculation processes, procedures, and methods
• Reconcile and remediate existing fixed income calculation issues
• Partner closely with the Technology team to ensure appropriate standards and integration

What We’re Looking for  

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in fixed income, e-trading, or similar with an emphasis on municipals
• Degree in Finance, Math, Fields of science and technology
• Advanced financial math for yield calculation and spread to price conversion, accrued interest, duration, and other financial instrument characteristics
• Proficiency in understanding various fixed income calculations
• Experience with calculation providers such as FinCAD, Refinitiv, Bloomberg
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven work experience as a team leader
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives
• Experience performing benchmarking, backtesting, and validation for fixed income calculations
• Experience providing internal and external support for fixed income calculations
• Experience creating, maintaining, and editing SQL queries
• Strong written, verbal, and team communications skills

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in development of trading platform for Fixed Income
• Familiarity with a programming language

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $110,000 USD to $165,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
