Senior Network Administrator

Yext is seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Network Administrator who will be working on all aspects of the corporate network infrastructure at Yext. This role is responsible for the overall performance of Yext’s global corporate network and providing a consistent experience to our users across the globe.

• Operate our corporate networks on a day-to-day basis
• Proactively plan to meet growth, service, security, and reliability requirements
• Collaborate with various teams to support initiatives that require Networking expertise, especially IT Operations, Security and the Workplace teams
• Manage relationships with a variety of vendors such as ISPs and network hardware manufacturers
• Troubleshoot issues using various platforms and tools
• Maintain a budget and ensure ongoing cost efficiency
• Design and maintain office MDF/IDFs including rack layouts, UPSs, PDUs, cable management etc.
• Design, implement and enforce network security best practices
• Develop and maintain technical documentation of operations, procedures, incidents, resolutions and detailed project plans
• Standardize network infrastructure builds with varying requirements
• Provide technical expertise on current and emerging network and security technologies

• 3 to 5 years of networking experience that includes secure network design, operational support, hands on implementation and configuration of network infrastructure
• Experience with Layer 2 networking concepts such as VLANs, LAGs, STP, DHCP, DNS, etc.
• Understanding of Layer 3 networking concepts like Routing protocols, VPNs etc.
• Experience with design, implementation, configuration and troubleshooting SD-WAN
• Experience with, or a strong desire to learn Juniper/Mist, Meraki, and Fortinet products
• Experience with monitoring & alerting tools like Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana etc.
• Created and maintained professional documentation and diagrams of network plans, designs, setup etc.
• Hands on experience with supporting networks for Windows/Apple environments

• Network troubleshooting experience with applications and hardware like Zoom, Zscaler, Dialpad, Pulse Secure/Ivanti
• Experience managing vendors like ISPs, building management, network vendors
• Experience with scripting or automation tools like Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform etc.
• An inclination to augment commercial products with open source tools

The base salary at the time of hire for this position is expected to be between $113,000-$169,000. Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits, and successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
