The Senior Network Architect position serves as the overall Ameris Bank Network technology solution owner for the Enterprise network; includingnetwork architecture, design, support, management, and assisting in defining and evolving the strategies for improving and maintaining network technology. This hands-on position actively administers the network, assists in managing network vendor relationships, maintains network asset inventories, and provides budgeting guidance to keep networking technologies current and prepared for the future. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
• Own Enterprise-wide data network architecture, design, implementation, security, and administration to maintain reliable and secure data/voice networks for all Ameris Bank locations.
• Assist in managing vendor and carrier relationships related to all network technologies.
• Day-to-day Design, administration and troubleshooting of the Datacenter network environment as well as Wide Area Network (WAN) including all associated circuits used to facilitate communication; including escalating and communicating all outages and status updates to affected personnel.
• Install and maintain all network hardware and network related software applications.
• Perform satellite installations at remote properties and establish connections to Ameris Bank network.
• Remediate vulnerabilities found on network equipment.
• Provide strategic direction and tactical implementation plans for the acquisition of new network technologies including upgrades, replacements, and recycling.
• Perform network Datacenter and branch router, firewall, switch, and wireless upgrades for the enterprise.
• Manage maintenance agreements such as Cisco Smartnet and other network related subscriptions for the company and ensure proper coverage is maintained.
• Manage centralized network related contracts with the network providers chosen by Ameris Bank and associated invoice processing.
• Manage and provide remote access to the Ameris Bank network via VPN or other remote access facilities.
• Help set and manage network operating and capital budgets as well as oversight of related hardware and software maintenance contracts.
• Define and implement corporate network platform refreshment approach including a replacement schedule for network equipment.
• Recommend major network system infrastructure such as, point-to-point Datacenter connectivity, MPLS, VPN, ISE, wireless technology, and others.
• Conduct bi-annual firewall and router reviews and create/maintain network dataflow diagrams for PCI compliance.
• Provide support and assistance to the Ameris Bank Support Operation Center as needed and requested.
• Support the Change Management process and participates in the change management revision.
• Carry out other duties which may be reasonably expected by the immediate supervisor or other IT leaders.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
• Deeply skilled in network related Information Technologies. Demonstrates Project Management skills needed to successfully support complex network projects throughout the enterprise.
• Supervisory experience and serves as supportive leader for the department and the organization on areas concerning networking technologies and other spheres of influence.
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills including the ability to plan and execute complex network related projects.
• Must have strong working knowledge of various platforms including Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco IDS/IPS Units, Cisco ACS/ISE technology, Cisco ASA firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Meraki wireless access control systems and access points, MPLS networks, and network monitoring/diagnostic tools.
• Skilled with IT security compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products is required.
• Experience with VPN technologies such as Cisco Any-Connect; network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Live Action, and CISCO DNA; network provisioning and configuration tools such as CISCO DNA, and Ansible.

Industry and Work Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in Route/Switch.
• 10+ years of experience in datacenter networking.
• 5+ years of experience in a management capacity.

Academic:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• CCNP Route Switch certification preferred
• CCNP Datacenter certification preferred
