Under general direction, the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) will work cooperatively with outside sales representatives and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.

About the Role: 

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Network) will be responsible for supporting clients’ routing, switching, and network security requirements including designing, configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks as well as security solutions. The position will be responsible for working with clients to understand their business goals and requirements, making recommendations for solutions, and implementing those solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide technical expertise on secure networks technology areas.
• Provide senior level engineering support for customer projects including design, implementation, testing, and support for new deployments, expansions, environment refresh and upgrades. This includes troubleshooting customer environments.
• Work with internal and client engineering teams to successfully implement secure network solutions.
• Provide LAN/WAN routing (static, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS), MPLS (IPVPN – Layer 2 & Layer 3), multicast, switching, wireless and security configuration and deployment in client environments.
• Provide network engineering consulting services, including: assessment, design and implementation of data and secure networking environments.
• Assist clients through planning, design and implementation of secure data communications networks.
• Create technical deliverables including physical and logical network diagrams, network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation plans, configurations, and change orders.
• Lead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.
• Provide peer reviews of implementations, configurations, and documentation for team members.
• Assists other team members with deployment or best practices.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast on new and emerging technologies.
• Obtain vendor-related certifications, to enhance professional development and our corporate standing with our vendors.

Qualifications & Interests:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
• One or more relevant, mid-level industry certifications required (CCNP, JNCIS or equivalent) required
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in designing, configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks as well as security solutions.
• Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and have an ongoing desire to stay current with the latest technologies.
• Ability to focus on results while working independently when given a broad direction and desired results.
• Ability to adapt to changing goals based on customer demands and market conditions while working with development and sales teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills: must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanor, and taking quick action to resolve issues.
• Required Route/Switch Technologies: Cisco, Juniper, & Arista
• Preferred Network Security Technologies: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet
• Load Balancing experience preferred (F5, Citrix, and/or A10)
• Experience integrating networks with industry standard virtualization infrastructure preferred (vSphere and/or Nutanix Acropolis)
