Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust network and security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Network Design & Administration:
  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise networks using Cisco and Fortinet technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (WAPs).
  • Configure and troubleshoot network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, etc.) for optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve network issues.
  • Implement best practices for network segmentation, access control, and high availability.
• Security & Linux Administration:
  • Configure and administer Fortinet firewalls to enforce security policies and protect against cyber threats.
  • Manage Linux servers for key network functions (e.g., DHCP, DNS, VPN).
  • Securely provision and manage SSL certificates for internal and external applications.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest security vulnerabilities and threat mitigation strategies.
• Automation & Documentation:
  • Automate routine network and security tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Document configurations and procedures for knowledge transfer and future reference.
• Collaboration & Problem-Solving:
  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT Security, Development) to understand business needs and implement technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex network and security issues, performing root-cause analysis to ensure resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in network administration, including Cisco and Fortinet technologies.
• 5+ years of experience in server management.
• Experience in Linux administration is preferred
• Proven experience with network protocols, security best practices, and firewall configuration.
• Experience with SSL certificate management is a plus.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Passion for learning and staying current with the latest technologies.
